Yes, of-course. It has always got to be a personal choice. I would proobably have preferred to wait for Scotland, but my symptoms have been progressing fairly rapidly recently, and at my age .... Well I haven't got time to wait for the 'research'. I have only gratitude, admiration and encouragement ...

ccsvi treatment update ehc

Hi all, I was registered on the waiting list with ehc, but an appointment in Poland came up first. Beforehand, I had already worked out that going to Poland would work out much cheper for me - cheap flights from home town, less nights in hotel to pay for, cheaper to eat/drink in Poland, less time of...

I mentioned my interest in CCSVI to my physiotherapist who works as part of the ms team with my neurologist. The reply was that they had discussed it as a 'team' and dismissed it until further research had been done. I therefore did not discuss it with my neurologist 'cos I don't want to be advised ...

resistant bacteria

Yes, I agree this news is alarming, but I also think that the procedure is not too invasive, (i.e. no cutting/stitching) and hospital stay is very short, so I wonder if the risk is less than for other surgeries? Also, for those of you going to India - see the advert to the left on this page - afford...

Hi squeakycat,

I have to agree with your wife, and the sceptics. A bit of retail therpay always does me the power of good, but unfortunately not my ms! I'm usually exhausted and my legs get all crampoed so that I just can't walk another step! Hope your wife's up to it. Congratulations!

:? Hi all you that know more than me about this. I have only heard of it since I started looking at CCSVI. What I don't understand is that I frequently have swollen ankles and knees, and doctors have advised me to put my feet up, preferably higher than hip level. I have mobility problems, (Dropped f...

insurance for possible complications

Hi, See allclear.co.uk They cover travel for medical treatment abroad. This covers additional accommodation/travel if recovery is longer than anticipated, but they do not cover for complications of treatment. Google it - I found 4 other companies doing this but they were MUCH more expensive. (See 'I...
