My original call was June 28th. They called yesterday. March 11 w Dr Siskin. They could not reach me right away - I was at a client's and the cell reception sucked. I saw the area code on the call and went OMG, I think it's them. I ran (ha ha) out to reception and checked the message. Took me a few ...

To clarify, my friend who called in July and got a date in December is both Canadian and going to the clinic. Was this an error (a happy one for her) or is there is something else affecting the queue?

I was 5/5 at Barrie. I have no problem waiting my turn, however I an getting increasingly concerned because I don't know how the queue is being managed. Is some kind of triage being done? Am I a low priority because I can still walk and work full time?

I am puzzled about how the wait list is working. The web site says first come, first served. I went on the list in June and people who went on the list after me are getting procedures dates. I contacted them last month and was told middle of next year. Last week one of my close friends was given a d...

Greetings all! Congrats on the fabulous article and the success of the symposium Dr S. This a repeat of a question submitted last week... Some questions I have found answers for in the last few days. To stent, or not to stent, that is the question. Some friends and I pooled our question lists: - is ...

Misc things I do. I'm a single parent with SP MS who is still working full time. Energy saving is a must. - I found a store that has good gluten free bread (rice, buckwheat, quinoa). I wrap slices in wax paper and freeze most of the loaf. - I have coconut milk ice cream if I want something cold. - I...

AVMS, PRegnecy and MS

One one the things that is notably different with MS (as opposed to AVMs) is that many, many women report that they felt better during their pregnancies. In my case, I had my first MS symptoms before I was pregnant and was diagnosed after. I have rarely felt better than when I was pregnant.

To stent, or not to stent, that is the question.

Greetings all! Congrats on the fabulous article Dr S. To stent, or not to stent, that is the question. Some friends and I pooled our question lists: - is there a certain type and location of stenosis that tends to predict the need for a stent? - need for blood thinners after a stent – how long for? ...

I apologize if this has come up before. Wading through this entire thread is a bit overwhelming! Has anyone heard/read anything re any contra-indications for CCSVI treatment? Are there any medical conditions that make either venograms or angioplasty high-risk or not possible? E.g. asthma, problems w...
