I had the procedure about a month ago and was hoping that heat tolerance would be one of the bonus side effects, but it seems that is not so for me. It was +20 here yeaterday and I was doing a little work in the garden. Within a few minutes I was totally drained and needed to sit inside for about a ...

I noticed headaches like you describe for about 1 - 1.5 weeks after the procedure. Teated them with Tylenol/Panadol (OTC analgesic). The headaches have since stopped. I was ballooned about a month ago. As a side note, I suffered from migranes - especially brought on by weather changes. I have not ha...

I was also with Dr. Kostecki and experienced no problems. I think it depends entirely on the person. Of the 6 of us who Dr. Kostecki in mid May, the only one who suffered any "pain" was a Bulgerian lady, who seemed to have more issues with fear than pain. She spoke NO English, no one else ...

Very well said.
I think unrealistic expectations can be our worst enemy.
What I've found and marvelled in are the things I didn't even know were problems untill they went away!

I'm very curious how long the people with blocked stents were on anticoagulants (Plavix, Warfarin , Heparin etc). Dr. Kostecki prescribed 14 days of 60mg of Clexane once a day for 14 days, 75mg of Plavix once a day for a year and 150 mg ASA once a day for life. I've been reading other posts in the ...

grammastang - (Lynda) actually gave me the name - we were in Poland along with Alanbrowne and 3 others. After we got back she sent an email to the other "stentors" so I decided it was a good nickname.

Glad to hear of your progress Fiddler. I'm hoping you'll agree when I say the most critical thing is to go in with realistic expectations. I recently had the Liberation treatment in Poland with Dr. Kostecki. It exceeded my expectations - but then I went into it with realistic expectations. When you ...

Pre-testing

maureen196113 I also did not have any pretesting done. It would have cost airfare to and from and $2350.00 in Vancouver to have it done - without any guarantees that they knew what they were doing (at the time - this was before Simka's visit) I contacted Dr. K. and he said they'd have to do it all a...

Jacek Kostecki - may 10-15 / a bit of added info

Just got back yesterday - had the procedure May 15. Here's a bit of added info. It is important when talking to airlines, and other officals that you do not state that you are going for SURGERY - if necessary mention "procedure", but it's best to say you're going for pleasure. They get qui...

I am the Canadian Kate of Kate and Randall that Alan speaks of. We want to add a bit more info First I agree with what Alan said about the Polish teams - the Doctor's and nurses were excellent (except for one - Nurse Ratchet, we called her ... she was a little rough) and Katherine and her team of dr...
