Re: Experiences with Low Dose Naltrexone
I also just started in the last week; it has been 6 nights for me. I started at the 1.5 dose and get quite nauseous and groggy within an hour of taking it, however an improvement has been seen as the days go by. Sleep is disturbed by vivid (not necessarily bad) dreams. By keeping food in my stomach,...

aspirin
I have been on baby aspirin now for 5 months post-procedure - no problems. We were told to take it for 6 months, following the one months of Pradaxa (European anticoagulant). Every centre seems to have their own recommendations re blood thinning.

balloons
Does the size of the balloon selected depend on the size of the patient? If so, the term "big balloon" is kind of subjective, isn't it?

Robob's checkup
Hi, Best wishes as you head back to Sophia. Please let us know how it goes and let us know exactly what they did to reassess. I'm wondering if they will do Doppler only or Doppler and MRV. If the Doppler shows restenosis then they will probably go straight to veinography. It's just that it is such a...

follow-up checks
On our discharge report from Bulgaria, it suggested a follow up doppler at 6 months. Many people seem to be booking them much sooner. I guess curiosity and concern prompt that. I haven't decided when... not that I don't wonder every day if my veins might have closed! Of course having to PAY for it h...

disc now works(:
For a school teacher, I certainly don't read very well! Thanks so much Fred - when I finally read your response and downloaded the recommended program, the disc worked fine. I watched it with both fascination and nausea as I saw that balloon working its way deep inside my veins. So pleased to hear a...

Hi, Thanks everyone for your replies re the discs working. Mine doesn't work on a mac or pc (I think pc is the only way they will work). Interesting Taps that you got 3 discs and I got one; our procedures were about the same length (2 and a half hours), but you were a day later and had a different d...

postcards
A woman I've newly met from Victoria is looking forward to her trip to Sophia in September. She doesn't use this site,so I said I'd add her idea. She plans to bring a postcard of Victoria and put it in the floor lounge (they call it the 'Winter Garden" - a nice sunny room. She thought it would ...

Types of CCSVI
Thanks Ales and RobSandra for up-dating- good to hear from you. I notice on my discharge medical report from Bulgaria that they have stated that I have CCSVI Zamboni Type B. I wasn't aware that there was a classification system. Beside Type B it states "stenosis in both jugular veins and total ...

returned today
Hi Everyone, I returned today from Europe (procedure in Sophia July 27th then three nights in the Netherlands before returning to B.C.) The friendliness and positive support from the other Canadians there made the 6 days very enjoyable. The night we arrived, we were asked to join a farewell dinner w...

last minute questions
First, SanFran, yes you will be able to cancel Bulgaria because they don't require any money when you respond (I believe that Poland does). I will be leaving in a few days and have a few questions for those who have been: 1. Is it two nights in hospital for everyone, or 3 if stents are required? 2. ...

27th busy day and stent info
We leave Vancouver next Wednesday, fly to Amsterdam for a few days and then into Sophia on the 25th for procedure on the 27th. Looking forward to meeting you Markdoc and RobSandra. Thank you, Anya - that was a very clear description of your husband's procedure; the more we know the less stressful it...

airport pickup
Initially, I didn't respond to Geya's offer to pick us up at the airport as I wasn't sure of our flight info. Now I need to arrange that. Is that a service Geya Tours provides ( at what cost??) , or is it cheaper to use a taxi?
Thanks, Kar
Thanks, Kar

no deposit
Hi, It looks like the 27th is a busy day. Geya Tours (who does the confirmations for Dr. G.) does not require a deposit. I also got an e-mail from bgtours, but ignored it as I already had my confirmation from Geya. My understanding is that the full payment is due at the end of our time there. Rememb...
