Re: Hi guys! Update from flora68 after 20 months on LDN

OK, here I am again after 13 YEARS on nothing but LDN, and I'm practically unchanged, just older. I just had an MRI yesterday that showed only the most MINIMAL changes. My new neurologist is a fan of LDN and is happy that my MRI showed what we hoped it would. So of course I'm grateful and happy and ...

Re: RE STUDIES SHOW LDN'S BENEFITS, LDN CAN CURE M.S

"Stopping progression" in 40 patients for 6 months obviously isn't the same as a "cure". But it's very good news!

Re: Old Age Sure Ain't for Sissies

To dlynn- Thank you for the kind words. Actually I've been lucky and shouldn't complain. About LDN- it tricks the body into making more endorphins, which at the very least, feels good, but I believe it does more. The theory is that endorphins, being very basic to the immune system, help to balance ...

Re: Old Age Sure Ain't for Sissies

My 63rd birthday is this week (October 5th, said to be the most populous birthday), and I'm still hangin in there, not getting any younger and obviously still an MS pt. I decided to drop back in on the forum to see what's what, and found that I started this thread over 8 years ago! I'm really doing...

Re: Muscle spasms

glad you like magnesium-rich foods - careful not to combine with calcium rich foods at the same time, since those compete with each other for absorption. magnesium is easily lost in a variety of ways, including the sweating you specified, and pretty much any stress, etc. quick question: can you cla...

Re: Muscle spasms

Thank you, everyone, for the suggestions and encouragement. I'm strangely relieved to have it more-or-less confirmed that my muscle spasms are (probably) an MS thing. I'm planning to go back to the gym later this afternoon, for a mild workout, and since I've never tried stretching after a workout I...

Muscle spasms

I think we all know that MS can do just about anything to you, so almost any symptom I experience I tend to attribute to MS, my default diagnosis. But I'm not 100% sure about this one... For many years I worked out at a gym at least every other day and was very goal-oriented. I pumped more iron tha...

Re:

Hi I'm looking for a Neuro in Austin TX that has prescribed this for MS and is open to it. My neuro won't!! Also - I saw someone post a pharmacy (River Pharmacy) where they order the 50mg tablets online without an RX. How is this possible? i'm a little sceptical. Has anyone tried this and dissolved...

Re: LDN and depression?

LDN makes your body produce more endorphins; endorphins ought to make anyone feel happier. LDN certainly helped me tremendously.

Re: HELP! MS symptoms only appear in hot weather

Wow. At first I assumed you were experiencing some atypical MS symptoms, but after reading your post more carefully, I don't think it is MS. But whatever it is, it sounds rare and like a real challenge for a diagnostician. What kind(s) of physician(s) have you seen about this? What if any testing h...

Cognitive issues

(FYI, I used a larger font in this post not to show off but because my vision sucks and I know some of you have visual issues too. I was diagnosed with macular degeneration many years before I got MS, but maybe this IS the MS.... who knows?) I was diagnosed with MS 8 years ago. The main symptom tha...

The dog still needs walking...

One other thing I do differently in this crazy hot weather involves my dog Claude*, who like almost every dog, benefits from going on walks. (Actually, I ride in a mobility scooter, so he's the only one actually going for a walk...). It's also nice for me to get out of the house. These walks only l...

Magnesium didn't effect MY heat intolerance or muscle spasm-

"....I take 500-600mg of magnesium a day and have no trouble with the heat...." You may disagree, and you may be right, but personally I don't think taking magnesium has anything at all to do with the happy fact that you have "no trouble with the heat". I believe that you are on...
