I called Port Perry today and the cost is $250.00 for CCSVI testing even if you have an appt. booked! Barrie has a long waiting list but there is no cost.

Just Liberated!

Hi Bruce: It's been exactly one week since my treatment and I have noticed 2 improvements...balance and ability to walk up the stairs in an upright position! MS fatigue has been consistent for the past 2-3 days and the procedure and travel could be factors. I'm optimistic that improvements will cont...

AlmostClever is Liberated!

Congrats and take time to rest. I had the procedure done on Monday and had blockages in the jugulars and azygos.... Angioplasty of the three blockages, with no stents. I am on Plavix for three months. Another patient of Dr.S is on Plavix for 6 months and she had less blockages so I'm not sure the cr...

Just Liberated!

I had 3 blockages...the right, left and azygos. Previous ultrasound did not reflect the angioplasty today. The ultrasound showed no stenosis in the left jugular and today the stenosis in the left jugular was more severe than the right. The doctor said that the ultrasound shows that there is a problem...

Congrats BooBear! Great to hear of your improvements. Are you having regular follow-ups? Are all patients prescribed Plavix for three months? I'm scheduled for next Monday in Albany and it seems like a long wait since the first call but I'm counting down the hours now instead of days. I feel fortuna...

I called mid May and my appt. is Aug.23rd. I'm from Canada and I'm not sure if wait times for appointments for the clinic are longer or shorter as opposed to the hospital. Also, they have added a third doctor so hopefully the wait time will be shortened. Good luck to everyone with getting your phone...

Trine has detailed the costs. You might want to ask the Dr. if they are doing a follow-up ultra sound the day after the procedure and if so, the cost for the ultra sound. I'm also from Ottawa and I'm scheduled for the procedure in August. Good luck.

Great report. Congratulations. I hope you have continued improvements.
Did the doctor review the CD with you? Have they discontinued the follow-up
ultra sound the day after the procedure? Please keep us updated. All the best.

Interrupted: Dr Siskin is the doctor that I will be seeing in August. He is very approachable either by email or phone and I feel quite confident in his judgment as to whether a stent is required or not. Reseaching the various forums will probably leave you frustrated because I'm not sure if there i...

I will also be seeing Dr. Siskin in August. Although I have some concern with stents, I will trust Dr. Siskin's judgment as he only does stents when he feels it is a necessity. Cost is another factor. Insurance doesn't cover the costs of the treatment as I'm from Canada. Hopefully, everything will g...

Their website states "Patients who receive a stent will typically need to be on anticoagulation medication for at least 3 months."
I hope this helps.

How long did it take to get the results from Barrie or did Angela give you
a clue/hint of your results at your testing?
