Re: What Chiropractic care is best for MS/CCSVI

After the first adjustment I felt like I had been beaten up, but I wasn't concerned because my body was clearly responding; but afterwards I never felt or saw anything - no improvement in any MS symptom. I was so disappointed. I was wondering if I needed a different type of upper cervical chiropract...

Re: What Chiropractic care is best for MS/CCSVI

I saw an Atlas Orthoganal doctor in northern NJ once/week for a couple of months. His x-rays showed improved alignment but I noticed nothing. Saw a NUCCA doctor in White Plains, NY for2-3x/week for about 5 months with the same results----improved images but no improvement in function.

Re: cytoxan therapy

Is there much difference between MS cytoxan therapy and the cytoxan therapy they give for breast cancer? I took cytoxan with adriamycin (and steroids) for every two weeks for eight weeks as the first part of my chemo for breast cancer. I noticed my MS symptoms worsening. Saw a neuro recently and was...

Folding Mobility Scooters

Although I am lucky enough to still be able to walk with a walker or a cane, I find that my activities are becoming more limited. I need a scooter to walk longer distances. I want to get a folding scooter that I could put in my car. The Luggie is the one I hear about most but it's expensive. The Lex...

Friday 7/15 was the Patient Education Day of the CCSVI symposium. Montel entered after we started and sat quietly in the back of the room. I noticed him during Dr. Sclafani's presentation in the morning. I'm not sure how long he stayed but I didn't notice him after lunch.

upright doc, Before looking into CCSVI and the liberaton procedure, I went to an upper cervical chiropractor in White NY. I went three times a week for about four months, then I went down to two for another month and then I just stopped. 5 months and I noticed absolutely no improvements at all in my...

MegansMom,
What a great explanation of the brain's workings....comparing hypoxia in MS to anoxia in a stroke. I can see some of my friends' eyes glaze over when I launch into my more complicated explanation of CCSVI. This could help those without MS to understand it and CCSVI better. Thanks!

It was a great day in every way. The presentations were interesting and enjoyable. Dr. Sclafani's presentations on the CCSVI procedure and use of IVUS were excellent as were those by his ultrasound tech, Dara and Dr. Ponec's nurse. The presentations on stents and anticoagulants, while technically &q...

Wishing you all the best in Brooklyn Monday, Cece. I'll just miss you there. My ultrasound appt at Brooklyn AAC is Thursday. I will be at the symposium Friday, though. I look forward to meeting you then.

Kiki,
Love the idea of the name tags. I'm fortunate that I live close by so I'll just drive in Friday. Hope to meet you and our other TIMS members then.

CCSVI symposium

Dr. Sclafani, My question today is a practical one. I'm feeling so much better since my procedure with you. My stamina is good. I feel stronger, BUT I don't know how well I'll hold up at an all-day conference in a Manhattan hotel. I'm wondering if I should take a wheel chair. What kind of space are ...

APOLOGY

I'm so sorry about the repeated posts. It's pouring here. My computer kept giving me this message that I needed to debug it. I kept trying to send it, as you can see.

So sorry folks!

STENTING WITH DR SCLAFANI???? YES!

Dr. Sclafani, I'm here to ask you a few questions and to tell everyone how you stented my completely occluded left jugular vein. With the left jugular closed again (as you predicted) you had difficulty re-opening my left IJV, even after that impressive rendezvous procedure on day 1. So I was a littl...

STENTING WITH DR SCLAFANI???? YES!

Dr. Sclafani, I'm here to tell you and everyone that it CAN be done and it WAS done beautifully 5/16, by Dr. Sclafani, himself. Stent(s) from Dr. Sclafani? I was a little unnerved. Fortunately, I had a week to process the whole idea when you told me Sat, 5/7. When I arrived Monday morning I was read...
