Re: Post if CCSVI treatment did NOT work for you

Been about 9 month since my azygous was found to be candy-wrapped. 6 mm stent placed. No improvements. After unsuccessful trip to Poland (where "nothing was found") and a procedure in California (where I can not help but doubt if anything indeed has been done) - I do not have any more mone...

Re: Occasional dull pain in my chest after procedure

Dear Dr. Sclafani, After having had the stent placed in my Azygous (at Pacific Interventionalists) I have been having intermittent (not very frequent either) dull pains where I think my azygous is. Somewhat below / at the level of the heart? Pain is not debilitating or anything, however it has me c...

I've also noticed the # of people here reading and/or participating has definitely waned in the past few months. So many people who used to post regularly suddenly vanished without a word or note about how their treatment went. I for one do not participate much anymore exactly because of the quarre...

I second (third, forth) the lawn chair idea!

Also, have somebody nearby with a camcorder, not necessarily a professional, but you know, YouTube is at times more popular than CBS news :-)

Another question is, if we produce so much ATP (which is the "energy currency" in the body), where is all that energy?

I am as fatigued as any MSer and having hard time figuring out how can that be with extra production of ATP.

If you cannot get a reply from P.I. by phone go to there web site and e-mail the doctor that did your surgery directly. Perhaps that will get you what you need. Just a thought. Done it several times. All of the Doctors were included on all of my e-mails. Cece, you are right, I should keep at them. ...

PI still did not supply me with codes for insurance!

It's been over a month. They did supply me with angioplasty codes, but left out the $2000 worth (potential reimbursement) stent. I am e-mailing and calling, including all the e-mail addresses I know. I was getting some replies first, in form of "we are so sorry we'll get right on it", but ...

Glad to hear it was taken care of! Both Siskin and my current Dr. believe that the collateral formed quite some time ago. It is very large, as large as the jucular itself. Wow! Jugulars are rather big! I was always wondering... If the collaterals form so efficiently and take over sort-of-speak, why ...

I went to my local ER. Funny though, the doc I saw said "uh. I have no experience with jugular veins.. so I really don't know what to tell you". He talked with a radiologist and decided to do an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed that the vein was fine and had no tears etc. Didn't show any...
