My neuro recommended stopping Mayzent

I was on Mayzent for about 1 1/2 to 2 years, but then had to stop, as I started to develop bladder infections. I decatheterize normally about four times a day, and had not had a bladder infection for about a decade. The first one went rather quickly with the drug Cipro, but the second one landed me ...

Re: How concerned should I be

Highly doubtful that it is MS. It usually starts with Optic Neuritis, as the Eye has the most nerves in the body. Nevertheless, monitor it for a few days - an MRI can be ordered if it persists. Also, just a check - ask her to bend her neck down, while sitting or standing upright. If she feels an ele...

Re: Experimental Tongue Therapy Helps Restore Brain Function

I called Apollo in Ottawa and they said they should have the PoNS devices in stock by August. They put me on "the list". I also heard that the cost is around $30,000.00! This is really insane. I mean is the device made out of Gold or Platinum? Finally there is a treatment that helps and th...

Re: youtube video: AHT (Autohemotherapy)

All I know is my neurologist told me to never go outside of Canada for stem cell treatment. He said that Canada has the best stem cells in the world and there is no other country with the same type of quality. Otherwise stated, having stem cell treatments of any kind in other countries can be a very...

Re: Really struggling with everything

There is a simple response to,your post: SUCK IT UP! I was diagnosed with MS at 19 and am 42 now. I did two degrees, including a Masters Degree. I make a six figure salary and still date and just came back from a 5 star resort in Mexico. Sure...life is harder...but that is the whole point of this li...

Re: Totally Confused

1) It is very difficult for any of us to interpret the results...especially if you're Doctor cannot or did not. 2) If you have a couple of obvious MS signs, like a shock in your spine when you bend your neck forward or vision problems...it would be easier. 3) Although I'm not too fond of neurologist...

Re: Bladder Issues

I would consider the use of a catheter. It makes life a lot more simpler. There will come a time when your urine will just not leave your bladder at all...as there is no synergy with the brain telling it to void.

Re: Two pharmaceutical giants join forces to develop treatme

Oh wow...how nice of them! Two Big Pharma Giants want to make a difference in the lives of PWS and other sufferers. God bless their black harts . Question: Why don't they join forces and work on stem cells...so they can REALLY make a difference!!?? Answer: There's NO $$$$ in it, because it cannot be...

Re: Amitriptyline for spasticity?

It is a "Cheap Man's Drug", because it has been around for decades, But it is the BEST for pain! Viagra is meant for the Heart, but they found it has Other Uses! Take it at a low dose and it is amazing for pain. Max of 125mg per day. Neurological pain is the hardest to treat. Even Opiods a...

Professor Mark Freedman!!?? He is an egomaniac with his own agenda. Don't believe one word that comes from this moron. When he has an orgasm, he screams out his own name! If he is airing out any balanced information, it is because he is trying to get MSers on other drugs which he is a proponent of (...

Re: Lyrica?

It was a miracle drug for me. I am on the max dose: 300mg in the morning and at night. It changes the signal and "type of pain". I used to have such a "burning in my legs"...that I couldn't wear pants (only shorts) and a day at the office in a suit was hell! Lyrica changed the pa...

THERE IS NO MONEY IN THE CURE!

Day after day, I read through MS chat rooms, to find something that would give me hope...but it has been over 20 Years that I have had MS, and the truth is that NOTHING works and that NOTHING new has been developed. I am still on the some interferon, not because it works, but because it is profitabl...
