Doesn't sound good. I had a minor blockage which was ballooned. Just after the procedure I started shivering and shaking. The IR thought it was an allergic response, so gave me steroids. Stopped shaking, but stayed horribly alert and ratty for the next 24 hours, also had high temperature the followi...

i speculate that the valves are often elongated and may just end up adhering to each other. However they could also be formed long and tubular. Opening such veins might lead to long trailing leaflets that might eventually come in contact and ultimately fuse. BUt i am not stating fact. I suspect tha...

As far as we know, the veins are tolerant of multiple balloonings. Some intimal injury is unavoidable anytime a procedure is done, even a guide wire going through can cause this. Best way to know if your jugular has returned to how it started is to get a cheap and easy ultrasound done. What stands ...

MULTIPLE PROCEDURES ON VALVES

I had a balloon angioplasty procedure in December 2010. The only problem found was a slight flow impairment (50%) in the valve in the LIJV, this was ballooned. After the procedure I felt really good, better balance and coordination, with much less fatigue. However, the improvements appear to have wo...

It seems like an absolutely brilliant idea.

It will be good to read about the impact that MS has on a highly responsible demanding career.

Will you be talking about CCSVI?, a degree in psychology may be useful in discussing the behaviour of neurologists.

Best Wishes

EJC has made the point that CCSVI has to be worth a shot, I totally agree. At the moment there isn't anything else that gives symptom relief, for any time period at all. I had balloon angioplasty in Warsaw on the 17th Dec, I wasn't entirely certain that it was the right thing to do, but things were ...

I get headaches every week, with a migraine once a month. My Neurologist and MS nurse insist they are nothing to do with MS.

The Neurologists I have spoken to know little about CCSVI, and are absolutely determined not to find out about it. The voting options should include outright hostility as well as differing levels of knowledge of CCSVI.

I have not posted before, but here goes. I am so pleased that the parallels between the Barry Marshall ulcer work and CCSVI have been pointed out. He spent a lot of time fighting against the then accepted medical view, that surgery was always required. He had to go to the extent of dosing himself wi...
