Re: I have definitely progressed while on LDN
This is what I was trying to say earlier. Sweeping statements across the internet...it actually confuses you. Again, common sense would tell a person that all meds may work for some but not for everyone. The internet is great for learning about alternative ways to treat MS and symptoms but you need ...

Re: LDN and Copaxone
When I started copaxone, I had swelling, huge itchy welts that lasted for days. That quickly subsided and just a small red spot with a slight sting is what I was left with. For the past year, I have no reaction to the shots. In the beginning I shot in my arms and upper thighs...it hurt. I only did t...

Re: LDN and Copaxone
Welcome...started copaxone as soon as I was diagnosed in 09. I took it everday for 15 months. After an MRI, my neuro put me on it every other day. Exactly 1 year after diagnosis, my neuro gave me a prescription for LDN. So now I take copax everyother day and 3.0mg LDN every night. I have no idea if ...

Re: New lesions after 10 months on LDN
Funny you should ask that...I was diagnosed in 09 with numbness in my legs. CIS was the diagnosis with an MRI that showed one spine lesion and two brain. I have not had any new symptoms since. My left arm bothers me occasionally but that is due to the spine lesion. Was immediately put on copaxone. O...

Re: New lesions after 10 months on LDN
Just to be clear, let me clarify what I was trying to say...some drugs work for some people and some drugs don't work for some people...my point...LDN does not have significant scientific studies in regards to lesion development. I've searched and discussed this with my neuro. The proof is just not ...

Re: New lesions after 10 months on LDN
I have been taking LDN for 2 years. I don't know if it has made any difference. I also take copaxone...again I don't know if it is working. After reading through hundreds of LDN testimonials, not many say anything negative about LDN. It depends on who you talk to, and what their MS disease is like f...

Re: Thigh shots
I tried thigh shots and was left with brown spots which lasted for almost a year. Not one Dr. knew what these spots were and I was afraid of being left with indents. I am a woman and lipotrophy is much more common in woman. I found that injecting into my stomach and the sides of my stomach( by my wa...

Re: Copaxone injections after 9 months
I wouldn't count on any change. It takes 6-9 months for the copaxone to build in your system and start working. If you do have any MS activity, I wouldn't say that the copaxone doesn't work....it just wasn't in your system yet. I didn't find this out until about 1 year after taking the copaxone. Not...

Re: Side Effects while on LDN...
I stopped LDN for 3 weeks. I started taking it again and the red bumps are back. I guess it is a side effect of LDN. I have been taking LDN for almost 2 years. I have a brain MRI in a couple of days. I am curious to see the progression of my disease. Did the LDN have any effect on the progression, s...

Re: Side Effects while on LDN...
I have been experiencing a very annoying skin rash since I started LDN (which is leaving scars). I just saw my neuro and I am stopping the LDN to see if that is the culprit. I also take copaxone but I am stopping the LDN first. If it is the LDN then I think that a side effect such as skin rash shoul...

CVFactor...please tell me you made a mistake and you are not taking 40,000 iu daily....you are going to harm yourself. Who would prescribe such a daily dose?

Re: Doctors that Prescribe LDN
Phoenix,
Have you tried doing this over the internet. If you google LDN sites, you can find info regarding doctors who will do over the phone consults and then send you the prescription. Skip's pharmacy in Boca, Florida will mail the pills. You should check it out....Good Luck...

Re: How many lesions do you have
So if brain lesions can be caused by several different things, then why are they counted as MS lesions....for example, when I was in the process of being diagnosed, my mri showed 1 active lesion on my spine (which was causing my symptoms) and 2 "older" lesions on my brain. Why would the br...

Re: How many lesions do you have
Euphoniaa, I believe there aren't many things that cause brain lesions. I asked my neuro upon my initial diagnosis if lesions can be caused by other things and he told me no....if you google causes of brain lesions, not much is listed....so I don't understand why you would say there are many things ...

Re: HepB vaccination and MS
I have always felt the rabies vaccine triggered my ms. My neuro and GP will tell me absolutely not. However, the package insert of the vaccince lists multiple sclerosis as a side effect. Think of it this way....if ms is immune related then any change to the immune system will change the ms. Please d...
