Glad to hear things went well Cece!! I wish I could be at the patient day... I happen to be flying in to Newark Friday evening for a 2 week trip back east and there were other commitments here that I couldn't change. Too bad! I hope you enjoy the rest of your week there!

Oh what unfortunate timing, I am flying to NJ/NY that weekend. I don't think I can change all my plans to leave 2 days earlier. I look forward to hearing about it though!

I discovered I was hypothyroid while trying to get pregnant, turned out blood tests from 10 years earlier showed it too, but weren't interpreted that way by the GP doctors. For many years I thought symptoms like those listed in the first post were MS related, and turned out many were thyroid. After ...

I, for one, am glad Cece started this thread to post media stories of people improving. Yes we all know not 100% of people improve, some restenose, and others have lingering problems. But I hope this thread isn't turned into a battleground. There is a thread for people who haven't improved, the link...

Wishing your husband the best. I'm sure any improvements mean a lot to him. I'm sure it's nice to know you have a doctor as caring and meticulous as Dr. Sclafani. The thing that went through my mind is that if people like your husband have the treatment early on, can the damage be stopped? If people...

I am amused and, indeed, motivated. :) One Diet Coke left in the house. Haven't made it to the store yet to pick up alternatives. Stevia, fruit, seltzer....I don't suppose Diet Pepsi with Splenda is a proper alternative! Try water. I'm a water drinker (guess it helps that I don't like soda). Drink ...

Great news! I just looked back at othter things you posted (like the article with the picture). I am half-Finnish so I can understand that that is Finnish and a few words here and there and that's about it! Glad to hear she is doing so well, the mildness of her symptoms sounds like mind, with the ad...

i agree with the heart example but children born with heart malformation have symptoms right away, at least before 7 years old... not MS patients... Not true, I've known 2 personally who had hidden congenital heart problems who died prematurely (one early 30s, other late 30s) of heart attacks, when...

You have to admit, there are a lot of wonderful outcomes out there. I wouldn't be able to post these sorts of quotes if they weren't published in the first place. Yes, if I wanted to replace every vestige of science with nothing more than layman opinion, I would have to admit that. So the positive ...

Re: Time to move on . . .

In all seriousness, it's clear to everyone except the most hardened CCSVI zealots that the theory of CCSVI has started circling the drain.......I think "all over but the crying" is the correct term. Of course! That's why all those leading doctors are in Bologna right now! They must be jus...

Cece, not once have you ever portrayed yourself as a doctor. You've always portrayed yourself as a person who has worked hard to understand the science, and to learn from someone like Dr. Sclafani. If people aren't capable of gleaning that, I don't see how their comprehension is your issue. I know I...

soapdiva884 good luck with your procedure! Btw, the vast vast majority of New Yorkers don't have cars, and even if they do, they have them to leave town, not to get around in town. One of my best friends lives in the city, they have a very nice Audi that they pay about $400 a month just to park in ...
