Re: script

It should be a total non-issue then if you live close to Canada. I know it's a pain in the butt to pick up my prescriptions ever since I moved about a 45 minute drive from my doctor. Since they're pain medications they have to be the original paper script and can't be called in. The resolution was h...

Re: How to get a wheel chair?

Have those of you that went out and got wheelchairs talked to your doctor about it? I didn't really mean "how to get a wheelchair" as in where to purchase one, but I meant more how those of you who have them brought it up with your doctors. Thank you!

Re: Financial Assistance

its2much: Wow?? They denied your application? Did they specify anything else aside from having health insurance? I don't have health insurance as I got diagnosed with MS unexpectedly after moving back to the states from abroad and hadn't set up my health insurance yet. Since all of the insurance quo...

How to get a wheel chair?

I'm only 31 and I'm tired of my doctor saying things like "you look great!" and blah blah blah when over the past 4 years I have gone from being a pro-am sponsored race car driver to being bed ridden the majority of the day. I'm lucky if I don't get carded when buying cigarettes or alcohol...

Re: script

Canadian pharmacies won't fill a prescription written by a US doctor in my personal experience. State to state is fine but out of the country doesn't work because of the varying things like the DEA # required in the US for doctors to write prescriptions. I tried Sativex back in 2007. Since it's not ...

Re: 7 days on ldn and feeling great!

I've always wanted to try LDN but I'm currently taking oxycodone as well as fentanyl patches and wanted to know if that meant that I couldn't take the Naltrexone would block the opiates from working properly. Any one know?

Vecttor/Dr. Rhodes?

Has anyone heard of the "Vecttor" therapy developed by Dr. Donald Rhodes in Corpus Christi? I just stumbled across his youtube videos and all of the videos say to visit his site, 2stim.com for more information but there isn't any. There is just information about it taking approximately 15 ...

Re: Soooo much pain!

Emla is available by prescription only. It's fairly expensive and there is actually an over the counter version that works much better. It's used in the tattooing industry and is significantly less expensive than emla. http://shop.bme.com/product/super_t_gel/ You put a little on and cover it with cl...

Re: How long does Copaxone take to work?

I'd definitely choose Copaxone over betaseron. You have to look at the side effects compared to how quickly it starts working. I was so sick from the betaseron that I couldn't stick with it. Since you are the one who has to stick with the medication and not the doctor, if you have an issue with side...

Re: injecting without auto inject?

I think the auto-injector is nutty. I definitely prefer doing it manually. It's very simple and there is no need for the amount of pressure that the auto inject uses, which is what causes the injection site reactions. Simply placing the heel of your palm on to the skin and pressing down gently is al...

Re: Financial Assistance

Definitely contact shared solutions. They're hook you up with PharmAssist, their financial aid company. I was uninsired after living abroad for over a decade and was diagnosed with MS before I got insurance in the states. I recently got insurance but it doesn't cover pre-existing conditions until 12...

It's been 6 days now since my procedure. I overslept and completely missed my check up on Thursday so I'm going to go back to Dr. Harris tomorrow. I'm sure he understand fatigue after dealing with so many MS patients recently. I can't say I feel any different. My neck and chest are still sore. The p...

I slept through my follow up appointment on Thursday. I was utterly exhausted from travel and two days of being up at 7am and not being able to sleep for more than an hour each night due to travel/time zone and allergies. I'm supposed to go down for my follow up and I'll report first hand what they ...

Does anyone know how to embed a youtube video into the forum? Or does it simply not work? When I try it, it just shows the embed HTML. It says HTML is "off" in the side bar but I don't see an option to turn it on.

Let me know! Thanks!
