Re: Do lesions disappear from MRIs when you are symptom free
over the stretch I felt best since being diagnosed with MS (I seem to have been diagnosed at the start of a change in slope... durp) i actually developed 3 new lesions which are the only ones I have had that did not enhance with contrast. So it seems like my feeling good then had more to do with not...

Re: first infusion (RRMS)
Just finished my first dose, no infusion reaction etc... the benadryl made me a touch loopy but I just ended up talking to a nice man with ITP about his daughters wedding plans. Lets see how the next two weeks go. After hearing back from my doc i'm hoping to be pretty 'normal' and not end up dog sic...

Re: Copaxone or Rituxan
My doc said that she would consider Rituxan for someone JC positive because the risk is lower, but I'm surprised they put you on Tysabri first. I went through Copaxone and Tysabri, also did a round of Avonex, I'm doing my first rituxan dose friday, i'm hoping for good things.

Re: first infusion (RRMS)
I'm waiting to hear back from my doc on this, is there a period where you're distinctly immune compromised? I'm worried because everyone at my office is sick constantly.

Re: first infusion (RRMS)
I'm starting Rituxan soon, turns out on Blue Cross of Mass you don't need pre-aproval, just waiting for my Dr's (pain in the Ass)istant to get my infusion started. I'm diagnosed 4 years went through copaxone (no effect), Tysabri (developed antibodies my 3rd or 4th dose) and Avonex (made me sick and ...

Re: Nanoparticles show potential for treating MS
I had read about this yesterday and was psyched but I'm kind of concerned if it's made from the same thing as disolveable stitches as my body does not like those at all.

Re: HAS ANYONE TAKEN TYSABRI WITH POSITIVE RESULTS
I felt amazing on Tysabri, my sight became clearer immediately (I didn't even realize before that it had blurred at all) I was sharper, I had more energy. I still think it was basically the greatest thing ever. Unfortunately I developed an allergy to it within 6 months, but from what I understand th...

Re: PML Cases now at 298!
Those numbers are way off there are over 40k (at least that was the number I was given when I was put on it) so the hundreds of people being effected by PML are a minor consideration vs the help it provides thousands. I had to stop taking tysabri because I developed an alergy to it but it was amazin...

Re: CAN ONE EXPLAIN MY MRI
This doesn't sound like MS, I think (and it's hard to say because we're all wonderfully different snowflakes etc..) that you would be seeing lesion activity, if your symptoms were MS related and it sounds like you're mostly describing features which are non-standard. I would keep working with your d...

See a different doctor. there's nothing wrong with getting a 2nd opinion, and there's nothing wrong with taking control of your health care. It's your health after all.
