Hello Shucks, Is the requirement to be on CRABS for 6 months only to get into the study? What if you just wanted to pay for the treatment without being part of the study, would you still have to go on CRABS for 6 months? I am praying for your best results. Good luck and thanks for sharing. Regards, ...

How Involved is Campath Off Label?

Anybody know how involved taking Campath off label would be? I am guessing we are talking something more involved than getting a shot at the doctor's office? Days in the hospital? Cost?

Thanks,

Thanks for sharing Raven. A very inspiratonal page.

I think we are at the point where anybody newly diagnosed with RRMS should give Campath a shot (unless they want to try something stronger, such as Campath plus Rev-immune (the MIST trial)).

Thank you both Freiguy and Raven. So may I ask how long has your MS been stopped? I have a loved one that has not been diagnosed yet, but I am very concerned. The only good thing is it does seem to be relapsing. I am examining all curative treatment options. Campath, MIST, HSCT. I know there are peo...

Thanks Lyon, that is a great link. Sorry for the dely in respondng. I lost my internet access (actually, it is still down, but I found a backup). It is too bad that when a company loses their funding all progress stops on a treatment. There should be something we can do about that. If I may ask, am ...

That was a good article. I think it supports Tovaxin more than anything. Even though Tovaxin injects T-cells, the purpose is just to train the body to kill those types of T-cells. In the end, I think you get less T-cells. This falls into line with my way of thinking: Get the B cells. B cells train t...

Maybe they were not specifically talking about Tovaxin in the original story? I read about a proposed treatment of re-infusing T-cells that had been targeted towards EBV. This makes sense if you think MS is EBV attacking you. Unfortunately, if MS is you attacking the EBV in you, then this treatment ...

Could it be that somebody said some good news good about PPMS? Very treatable with antibiotics? I am so used to PPMS being the condition that is not treatable (although some would say that Stem Cells can treat PPMS, so don't anybody give up hope). Is there a breakdown of antibiotic effectiveness by ...

Best Campath Candidates?

Are the best candidates for Campath young people with highly inflamatory MS?

I am hoping it has worked for those with few or no lesions also.

Thanks,

HSCT Vs Stem Cells (Vs Revimmune?)

Is it time to give Campauth a second look? If you were just wanting to stop progression? How does 65% compare to HSCT? Results of the five-year review showed: an estimated 65 percent of alemtuzumab-treated patients were free of clinically-active disease, compared to 27 percent of patients taking Reb...

Thank you Packo. One thing you did not mention is the price of the treatment in Isreal. Could you please fill us in on that count? I understand it is 100 to 150K in Chicago.

Thanks,
