Had CCSI procedure done 4 months ago and many things are much better. I'm not reccomending you don't talk with your neu...

Unexpected change!

It's been 4 months since my CCSVI procedure. Just yesterday I noticed that my periphial neuropathy in both legs (mid-thigh down to toes) receded on right leg to about 2 inches above knee and on left to four inches BELOW knee!! YAY. Anyone else have unexpected later changes?

Glad you finally got the regular codes. I too went to PI but had no stents so can't help you, maybe someone here can give you that code. I would suggest, if you're already not, calling them EVERYDAY and reminding them that you still have not received anything, that your insurance runs out by the end...

I'm much less knowledgable then many of you however Cece's pictures of malformed valves functioning is pretty much what Dr. Arata (Pac Int) told us about. When he did my procedure the balloon was blown up enough so that I actually HEARD the crunch crunch crumch sound of the valve breaking up (or wha...

Yes, everyone do pt if you are finacially able!! Today, just one day after my 1st session, I am more aware of the muscles used to really balance (not just my toes!). I was able to stand in the shower, wash my hair and tip my head back (!) and not lose my balance because I knew to focus on gluts, ham...

I had the angioplasty 18 days ago. Dr. Arata said to start PT right away though. I just got back from the first session. Interesting excersises. Lay on floor; legs bent and tighten butt and lift off of ground; do 10 times. 2. Lay on ground; legs bent; tighten butt and tummy; pull legs to chest; do 1...

Physical therapy after ccsvi treatment?

I start physical therapy today...anyone else had PT after their procedure? I go 4 days a week, 2 in the pool and 2 in their facility. Doc said that balance is very much a weight bearing and a brain activity, so those of us pretty confined to a wheelchair, our brains forget quickly (with so much iron...

They charge $8000 no matter what (and it's well worth it!!). Dr. Arata was able to tell that I had CCSVI simply based on the list of symptoms I gave him. A venogram is the most acturate however.

Maybe they are all afraid of seeing THEIR $ going out the window as each of us takes our business and insurance money to the IR's. I know mine gives idiot answers, responses and threats also. I have tried 4 neuros in my area...they all seem to be about the same. A good one seems awfully hard to find.

Dr. Arata did my CCSVI procedure 12 days ago. I took in a list of all 51 of my symptoms and after reading through the list he said that a preliminary venogram was not necessary...I definately had CSVI. All three veins were 80% messed up. Feeling great since right after procedure til now. Many little...

I too went to PI and they were great. Mine was 11 days ago and am also seeing some significant (to me) changes. Loved the nurse I had, sorry you drew the crappy one! Physical therapy starts tomorrow for me, maybe that'll help you too. Best wishes for all of us!!

Thanks everyone...Soapdiva, keep trying. Our insurance has been great so far so anticipate them paying. I have heard the the words "MS" should not be mentioned anywhere. We are just having a procedure to clear up malforming valves and restore proper circulation.
