Re: Tecfidera How to minimize or Eliminate Side Effects

What dose did you guys start out with? I was under the impression I was supposed to get some type of starter dose for the first week. However, my Neuro prescribed me to take one 240 mg capsule twice daily...for the whole month. With that said, I have been on Tecfidera for one week and 2 days. I expe...

Re: Blurry vision on Tecfidera?

How is your double vision? I have been on Tecfidera for one week now and woke up with blurry vision in both eyes. The blurriness is so bad that I can't even see with my glasses. Now, I do experience residual symptoms because I have had optic neuritis in both eyes which caused blindness in my right e...

Re: Do I need ANOTHER LP??

The concern during pregnancy is likely due to the use of the gadonlinium contrast agent that's used to highlight active lesions. That makes sense. I wish they would explain that other than saying, "It's our policy". I guess it's not a big deal to have a pregnancy test, it's just a headach...

Re: Do I need ANOTHER LP??

Hello everyone, I am a newbie here and am not yet diagnosed with MS although the neurologist is 90% sure that is what is going one. To make a long story short I have been suffering 10 years, maybe longer (i'm 31 right now) from what I believed to be gastrointestinal disorder. I basically get flares...

Re: Wave-like symptoms in head...

I have experienced this a few times. Sometimes it is when I am sitting down, other times when I am walking. I have brought this up to my Neuro. The only thing he could tell me is that it is from the lesions in my brain. He didn't say anything about a mini seizure or anything like that (not to say th...

Is there a such thing as a headache relapse?

For as long as I can remember (even before my diagnosis) I would get headaches. These headaches wouldn't only just be for a few hours. They would last almost the whole day. I would take a few Tylenol or Ibuprofen and it would get a little better, only to return the next day. This would go on for wee...

Re: Lhermitte's...does it mean progression?

I have experienced Lhermitte's sign many times. After I had an MRI done, it was found that I had a lesion in my neck. My neuro told me that by me having the shock feeling means that it meant my relapse would get better and it is a sign of healing. I had never heard of that before. Has anyone else he...

Re: What if the patient cannot take the MRI scan?

I have major issues with MRI's. I didn't know I was claustrophobic until I had to start having MRI's when I was being diagnosed. When I first started having to have the MRI's, I was given Xanax. They might as well given me candy because it did NOTHING for me. The next step was to put me under anesth...

Chronic High White Blood Cell Count?

I have an ongoing problem where my WBC is high. My Neurologist says this has nothing to do with my MS. However, I don't really believe it. I don't believe it b/c I have read where a high WBC can be caused by inflammation. So why wouldn't MS be a part of it?

Hmmm that is strange they would give a certain amount of days for a relapse to become "full blown". They should know more than anyone that everyone's MS and relapses are different. With that said, some of my relapses have taken a couple of days...but some have taken longer. For instance, 3...

I've never had any experience of fatigue or disorientation from the baclofen but I've chalked that up to being a professional drug user for so many years. It's the same thing here. I have been taking Vicodin for my herniated discs in my back for about 5 years now. So, when I take my Baclofen 3 time...

Has anyone tried Acthar?

I am nervous about having to inject myself without an auto injector. I went to the Acthar website and the needle looks pretty big. Does it hurt really bad? Does it feel any different than the crab drug injections?

Any help/advice is appreciated.

can a fall cause a relapse?

i had a relapse last year and have had residual symptoms from it that never went away. last sunday i took a pretty bad fall and noticed that my numbness has intensified over the past few days...so i think its a relapse. i was out of my copaxone for about 3 weeks so that may be a part of it although ...

No brain lesions but cognitive problems?

For a while (even before the thought of me having MS was even considered) I started having problems with forgetting words. It started getting worse over the past year or so. It gets so bad sometimes, I can't even finish full sentences b/c I can't think of words I want to say. I have also had bizzare...
