CCSVI and MS WALK Australia
Hey everyone, CCSVI Australia will be making their presence known for the 3rd year in a row at the MS Fun Run & Walk, 2012. We have created a short clip to help decipher CCSVI and would love to see everyone at the walk supporting us!! We will be in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. We will be wear...

Re: HAS ANYONE TREATED BY DR.RAMON VARCOE IN SYDNEY
Dr Varcoe works within Prince of Wales Private Hospital. It is a hospital at the right of the public Prince of Wales Hospital. I have been treated by him - in August 2011. Great results as per usual, which didn't last more than 3.5months (which is usual for me). He's very compassionate and quite kno...

Re: Transpose IJV
Yes, I strongly believe an infection is found within the MS brain - not in all persons however. Chlamydophila pneumoniae (CPn) has been found in the CSF (Stratton, 1999) and other studies have confirmed this. Bacteria -> Venulitis -> Intimal Hyperplasia http://phleb.rsmjournals.com/content/early/201...

Happy Easter to you, Cece!!
Can't wait for Orthodox Easter this coming weekend - I will be cooking enough to feed an army despite only 'planning' on spending it with 15 people. Planning is the key word - does not take into account the 'drop' by-ers

Re: Which Veins?
Nope, nobody chose to treat it merely because I forgot I had it, however I asked one surgeon (I've seen 2) if they've seen any iliac or renal vein abnormalities and bluntly said he's never checked. :S I can't justify another $bundle of cash$ just to have it looked at when the visualised segments on ...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions
Hi Dr. Sclafani, Just wanting to ask if you've heard of pathogen interaction with CCSVI?? I have been treated 4 times in Australia - the final surgery deemed failed and IJV flow did not improve (~136mL/min bilat). So I looked for pathogen sources and investigated one that results in saphenous vein g...

Re: Transpose IJV
I, myself, am not even entirely convinced that most people have a 'true' case of CCSVI. Most MS symptoms mimic vasculitis to an extent. I have had repeated procedures (x4) in the space of 14 months with 'good' results apart from my final one which was deemed failed - and boy i knew it before he told...

Re: Which Veins?
I've a query - I have a retro-aortic left renal vein that was incidently found during a scan for a possible "celiac axis stenosis" even though I didn't exhibit signs of post-prandial pain.. has this been seen in CCSVI before? *Left IJV - 2 x stenoses *Right IJV - 1 x stenosis *Retro-aortic...

Transpose IJV
Hey all,
..if a CCSVI candidate had bilateral proximal IJV stenoses at the level of the brachiocephalic/innominate veins, and permanent patency could not be achieved, would it be possible to transpose the IJV to a more proximal segment of the innominate or distally to the subclavian veins?

CPn and MS
Hey all! Very very excited here. I've been tested for CPn (chlamydophila pneumoniae) and I only have 3 days wait on the results! My NAC has arrived from USA ($6.95 for 60 caps) and I am so excited. I have been doing a lot of research on CPn and it's implication in MANY neurological disease - I canno...

Re: Understanding
It is difficult for a non-MSer to understand the effects that MS bestows upon us. Try and explain as much as you can, but don't stress yourself worrying about it because it'll only negatively affect your body. Try and explain it in simple terms, this is what I used to explain to my family/friends (d...
