I wish being stuck with a cooperative Neuro. but mine (Dr F from Ottawa) wants nothing to do with our pionnering way to get treated by an IR. Regards, Normb And if you just go for regular check-ups without telling him about your operation?? I guess that would be a real blinded test. :) Here, I told...

Griff, If the health care in the US is comparable to the rest of the world why is it that people from all over the world come here to receive treatment and also to study? I second Happy Poet's request, please provide the study info. M Do not get offended. :) It was not my intention to start a debat...

Re: MRI
In my country it does not cost more than USD 300. As part of the neuro follow-ups our insurance pays for that. USD 8000 seems a rip off to me. I read some studies that health care in the US is the least effficient in the world. They spend much more than in other countries without having that much b...

I don't know how much the actual cost to the clinic owner is, but a private MRI here is upwards of a couple thousand canadian bucks. I suspect the upkeep is fairly steep on those machines, as they are complex. The operators seemed a bit wet behind the ears at first, so possibly not real expensive t...

We must believe in CCSVI
We must believe in CCSVI theory at least here in TIMS otherwise our threads will be deleted. It happened to mine couple times. Twice this morning. No offence had been made, only I raised the following issue: "We all see our neurologists once or twice a year at least, so we get a status report a...

Re: MRI
All said, I would still have a suggestions. We all see our neurologists once or twice a year at least, so we get a status report at least once or twice a year. We usually get an MRI done once a year. If you do not get it, you can easily ask for it. It costs nothing compared to a CCSVI operation. :)...

Hi Cece. After reading hundreds of improvement reports here, I am just wondering if there is any MS patients yet who still needs any treatment at all. It seems that drug companies just go bust, all neurologists will retire soon...etc... All said, I would still have a suggestions. We all see our neu...

Why certain threads are locked here????
I just read scorpions' thread and I just had to realize that it is locked. Why is it that all the threads that aim to have a proper discussion on CCSVI are quickly locked???? Why are only those threads locked which raise some question about the efficacy or risk profile of CCSVI operations???? Who ha...

Re: Opinions of medical professionals on CCSVI
The azygous can clearly drain the spinal cord but not solely, as there are many intercostal venous collaterals which fulfil the same function. I believe that collateral veins have been shown to often be inadequate. NHE How was it shown that it is inadequate? Why is that when one of the ISVs is full...

There are scientific THEORIES about CCSVI but as of yet there is no sound science behind CCSVI so what do we talk about? When we tried to disucss Zamboni's original results people who wanted to talk science were looked at as enemies of CCSVI. When we try to talk science about recent studies undermi...

Re: Does anone know Dr S's restenosis rate?
in patients who had balloon angioplasty? was curious as he seems to be one of the few experts in CCSVI and wondered if his re-setenosis rate was lower than the average? Those who were fortunate to be treated by Dr S did you see dramatic improvements in mobility? have you re-stenosed? What veins did...
