Re: Coverage for Copaxone

i received a letter from shared solutions yesterday. i'm invited to the local marriott to hear a neuro speak and receive complimentary dinner. really!? so, they can't help those in need to receive meds, but they can pay some neuro, pay for a conference room, and pay for a bunch of meals. i feel like...

Re: Coverage for Copaxone

big pharma at it's best. greed. keep fighting for help on this. don't take "no" once, make them tell you several times. squeaky wheel... the MSsociety has a tremendous amount of money, but they don't seem to focus enough in the right areas. i don't get it. copaxone costs my insurance 14k for a 3 mon...

Re: Injection site red and warm

definitely rotate your injection sites. i rotate every day clockwise to keep it easy. right side - thigh (quad), butt, stomach, tri (arm), then to the left side, arm, butt, thigh (quad). i'll start high (within the injectable area) on one round then move lower on the next round. by far the easiest p...

Re: Feeling pissy, Lemtrada, HiCy, Stem Cells, Lingo, CCSVI,

^ i agree. business is short term for these big publicly traded companies. i would also add that you are selling the scientists and many doctors short. there are many good people in this world working incredibly hard to solve many different diseases. you don't have to look to hard to see those peopl...

cheer,

you are incredibly negative to anyone who is trying to look at positive results from any treatment. You also make claims that are not factual, but you believe them to be...which is great for you, but not for all.

i am out of this thread...it's been beaten to death.

good luck to all.

Re: How likely will there be a cure for MS within the next 1

Here is a recent analysis from this year, Harry and shaight. HCST does nothing for progressive or secondary disease. This is from one of the inventors of this therapy--Dr. Richard Burt of Northwestern, who now states that secondary progressive MS is NOT about the immune system, but about axonal deg...

^yes, that is true. this disease is annoying to say the least. the rrms name makes sense from that perspective. it just sucks that most move beyond the rrms at some point.

Is there much talk and or information from the 10% that it does not work for? I have tried many things before and all have failed. I have also seen t...

Re: How likely will there be a cure for MS within the next 1

The drug therapies also have been total failures to many patients as has been HSCT. Harry where are the current failures of HSCT ? there were deaths initially when they used TBI, which they no longer use today. if the procedure, whether myeloablative or non-myeloablative, is done properly, i am not...

Re: Thigh shots

i'm new on copaxone also and find the thigh to be the trickiest spot to inject. there is a fine line between going too shallow and too deep. the redness and swelling i believe is from going too shallow. for me my muscle is close to the surface on my quad so i go in at an angle and try to feel with t...

Re: 2 Years Post HSCT And MS Still Stopped

the Facebook site has taken over. it's so full of information that it is difficult to keep up. their are currently four people that just (as in a couple weeks to a couple days) went thru HSCT and many more in process of recovery or preparation. George is very active on that site also.

yes, what scott said and... i took mine in the evening and then by mid-day or so i was feeling better...or so i thought. i have been off avonex for a month and half now and during that time i've come to realize how much it was affecting me, apparently i had just grown tolerant to the side effects. i...
