hyper-reactive (or something like that)

I seem to remember reading a post regarding being easily starttled, but I can't find it. The smallest thing, or often nothing at all, makes me jump out of my skin. Like, I'll think I see something out of the corner of my eye while riding in the car, and I'll gasp and grab the dash, my heart skips a ...

SJ & CF, you're both right, she was very crabby! It was the end of the day on Friday, and I went back to find her to ask something a couple minutes after she cut me loose, and the MRI area was all locked up, it was 5 PM, quiting time I guess. Maybe she has med problems too...... maybe worse than min...

HAHA!!! Oh, sorry. I had to laugh when I read your question. I have no idea wether or not bungee jumping would be more dangerous for someone with MS, but I would say it qualifies as an extreme sport (passtime??). I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, I just got a kick outta your question. Sometimes wa...

shaky MRI

Any one know any tricks for holding still during an MRI? I got a 6 month check up MRI yesterday. During a 5 minute sequence of the c-spine part, I gues I was moving too much, and the tech told me to hold really still for 5 more minutes, and I fell asleep (I didn't know she was re-shooting the 5 minu...

Thanks Terry We saw the little guy yesterday (had to go for an MRI in the city they live in). He's doing great! He was born with a full head of dark hair, and it keeps growing. It's about 2 1/2" long on top, and sticks straight up. He looks like a mad scientist, or one of those little dolls the kids...

Huh.... I'm going for an MRI tomorow. I'll pay close attention to how I feel tomorow evening and the next couple of days. I lose my balance and stumble around quite a bit, but I've been quite steady for the last 4 or 5 days. If I get to wobbling around right after the MRI, you may be onto something.

Goldarn, Thanks for your well wishes re wildfires in BC. We've had milder, cooler weather lately with some rain, and it's helped a lot! Most of the evacuation orders have been recinded. The smoke has cleared up around my place (Blind Bay, Shuswap Lake), and I think they've got control over most of t...

Nothing wrong with the cheap drug store cheaters option, Bubba. My eyedoc recommended I save my money and buy those rather than buy some expensive designer glasses from his office. At 53 years old, I'm up to 1.75's now. I keep them scattered all around the house, vehicles, etc.. Because I only need ...

Hi Goldarm, You say you got the word it's not MS, but that doesn't mean it isn't something. You had symptoms, and the CT found speckles??? sounds like they need to keep looking. Are more tests being arranged? Any of your symptoms lingerring? There are cases of a one time event, but the so called spe...

Tara, I too say Hmmmmm. Thanks for the response.

Euphoniaa, thanks so much for the info. I'm as yet not dx'ed, so still looking for possabilities. I do have at least one large brain lesion, and have been told I've got a demyelinating, MS type of disease, so I think I can rule out HNPP.

Unable to view the scans!!!!???? What the hell is the use of making an appointment if the damned Doctor can't even put in the effort to be prepared for it? I'm sure you're hopping mad, I know I would be! A new Neuro is the answer, and make sure the old one knows how she let you down. I remember my s...
