Prof8, Ozarkcanoer, this is great news. Hope all goes well. My wife is at the same point - our local IR (also a friend of Dake's) found some problems in her left jugular using a doppler, and is now going to set up an appointment for a venogram and angioplasty. We are now on pins and needles waiting ...

My wife is in the same situation - she had a quick doppler, which picked up some turbulence in the left jugular. The IR felt that this was enough to justify a venogram with possible angiogram. He felt that an MRV wasn't really necessary, and was a very expensive procedure to boot.

Noel Batten??

A year ago I looked at some material by Noel Batten on the web. Batten claims dramatic improvement for ms patients using a form of chiropractic, along with stress management. At the time, he seemed like just another charlatan selling his books on the web. However, with the CCSVI procedure looking ve...

I'm guessing Biogen sees the writing on the wall, and wanted to get someone into their fold who was CCSVI savvy?

My wife who has mild MS, had a quick doppler done by an IR who immediately picked up some 'turbulence' in her left jug. He is now setting up a venography and possible angiogram for her. He felt there was no need for an MRV, the venography will pick up everything.

I remember reading something about Biogen and Lingo-1 about a year ago, where they were looking into it as an 'add-on' to Avonex. Now it looks like they are looking at Lingo-1 as a stand alone? Interesting.....

You mean *gasp* that this disease isn't all my fault? That when someone sadly shakes their head and says accusingly, "It's all that Diet Coke you used to drink..." I can say nope, sorry, this is congenital... I will still avoid Aspartame just on general health principles but this is very freeing ne...

Brief doppler, no MRV, then venography?

My wife who has mild MS, has been talking to an interventional radiologst. We got him quite interested in the whole CCSVI issue (he read Zamboni's papers), and was eager to do a doppler on my wife. After doing a 10 minute doppler, he did a few hmmm's, and then said there was something going on in th...

You will find lots of LDN info on this site: http://www.lowdosenaltrexone.org/ LDN is usually taken in either 3.0 or 4.5 doses. Some people tolerate 4.5, some do better on 3.0. Call Skips Pharmacy in Boca Ratan Fla, they are the major source for LDN, and can hook you up with a doctor. They do have a...

I think CCSVI and stem cells would possibly be 'fixing' different parts of the problem. A CCSVI procedure unblocks an obstructed vein. The obstruction causes problems in the brain and spinal column because of iron leakage, which promotes nerve damage. Stem cells would theoretically help repair the d...

I am with scut on this, its not personal just about one article. Sbr487 is correct, we need to argue our case logically and calmly, with facts not rage. On Vit D3 it may be interesting for you to know that, in Europe the incidence of MS increases as the amount of sunlight decreases EXCEPT in the Fa...
