I am curious about his ratio. I'm reading it as 2/3rds are having improvements, either miraculous or minor. And 1/3rd is not experiencing improvements. But it is too soon to tell if that 1/3rd is experiencing a cessation to progression, right? In some ways the talk of improvements blurs the focus o...

Also, how the heck is he able to do this in the hospital without IRB approval? I can understand his own clinic, but the hospital? I wish Dr. Sclafani could treat his patients at that hospital too. Or maybe even work with Dr. Siskin. They might as well work together as I have a feeling a high percen...

It worked thank you:-) Which type of MS were you diagnosed with? Dx RRMS 2005. Here is the list of symptoms that I am going to put in the tracking thread post: REGULAR CURRENT SYMPTOMS • Numbness/tingling in both hands and feet • Lower body fatigue after about thirty minutes of working with legs/ba...

Great report. Congratulations. I hope you have continued improvements. Did Dr. Siskin review the CD with you? Have they discontinued the follow-up ultra sound the day after the procedure? Please keep us updated. I'm counting down the days until late August when I will be seeing Dr. Siskin at the cl...

FlashHack is Liberated

I am back from [some undisclosed location] and being treated by [the doctor who shall not be named] for CCSVI. This post may have more detail than you care for. If so, please feel free to skip to the part you're interested in as I have tried to group the information into relevant sections. Thanks fo...

I'm out of the hospital and still feeling a bit woozy from the "conscious sedation" that Dr. Siskin uses during the procedure so I won't make any attempt to judge my symptom changes. I had mine done at Albany Medical Center and we stayed across the street at the Garden Hilton. I will post more detai...

I'll try to do some videos. I did some balance benchmarking this morning with our Wii Fit Plus video game. I also am participating in a gate study at OHSU where they strapped sensors to my legs back in March and collected data on how I walked and stood from a sitting position. They'll test me again ...

This may have changed in the last two months (the information is that old). Since an MRV and Doppler are non-invasive, they have historically been preferred to discover venous abnormalities. That is, they were preferred before anyone knew anything about CCSVI. As IR docs get to know CCSVI and its co...

Re: Dr. Siskin

From page three of this thread. Sounds like it is worth repeating. As to procedures, I believe that his team is well over 100 by now. Wow, this guy is working late. Dr. Siskin called again tonight at 7pm Pacific. So he is up calling us MSers at 10pm his time. impressive. He spent several minutes que...

Just got the paper and what a spread! Front and center on page D1. Also this article is third from the top on the Times "Most E-mailed" list of articles. This is such great exposure. This may not be the turning of the tide, but I'll wager it is ticking off plenty of neurologists!!

Very interesting. I was diagnosed with low thyroid function about two years before I was diagnosed with MS. Nothing like an elegant theory to clear things up... Dr. S., will Holly call me regarding setting up a sonogram with Dr. Zinn? marc want to co-author an atlas on imaging of CCSVI? Sure. Let's...

I'd cut them some slack. Odds are the reporter wanted to mention such details but there just wasn't the space or perhaps an editor slashed it. It strikes me as a notch in the win column. The fact that it ended with a converted skeptic was priceless.
