VERY interesting NZer1!! I am seeing chiropractors for upper cervical chiropractic care at the moment - GREAT results structurally so far. Let's see what else happens down the road. They or their Assn - NUCCA - are starting trials in Jan to see what effect their treatment has on the blood flow to/fr...

Hi MA, Go to "Has Anybody Had Surgery With Dr. Arata - California?" or search Dr. Arata on TIMS. A few of us have had surgery at Pacific Interventionalists. Personally, I loved it there. Very knowledgeable and compassionate. Had my surgery Sept. 2, 2010 and just had e-mails from them in the last two...

Heartsandskulls, Everyone's discomfort experience is different. The only "pain" I had was from the 10 - 15 seconds of ballooning - otherwise NOTHING - NOWHERE. Have heard others say they didn't have any discomfort. Ask for lots of sedation - you will be very relaxed. Do not worry - all will be fine.

His staff was excellent! I feel that if you have made an appointment with Dr.Arata you will be in goo...

Hi everyone, tiredloulou had her Liberation surgery last week with Dr. Arata. Ballooning was performed on both jugulars and a stent placed in her left one as it would not stay open. She says she has better balance, circulation, feels stronger, no headaches and can walk 5 feet assisted. Wishing you c...

Hi everyone,

For anyone flying into California for consultation/procedure with Drs. Arata or Harris and renting a car - rent or bring a Garmin/GPS. BIG stress saver!! We also toured alot and this was one very helpful item if you don't know where you're going.

The $8,000 was for the procedure only in my case - had testing elsewhere. Don't know if testing is extra?

No big results so far......give me a couple days. Feel good.

Had abnormal valves and narrowings. Also a blockage higher up on the right side.

Hi Everyone, Had my consultation with Dr. Arata yesterday and my procedure today. Was really impressed with Dr. Arata's knowledge and his approach during and post the surgery. No drugs afterward! No lying flat on your back after surgery for hours! Would have been very hard for me. Entered from the l...

Well said val57gal!

From one Canadian who has no choice at the moment but to go elsewhere and gladly pay cash.

Don't think we should be negative towards those willing to help ALL of us.

Hi tiredloulou, 1) I had my scans done at False Creek Center in Vancouver B.C. Dr. Arata requests you send him these - don't know if he does these there - don't think so. 2) Yes, he reviewed them and then I was contacted. 3) The cost I believe is different for everyone - don't think mine was unreaso...

Hi Cece, I called three weeks ago and was scheduled yesterday. They would have contacted me sooner but some of the staff were gone for several days. They are very busy right now with calls and e-mails. No, I did not request Dr. Arata but he was the one who reviewed my MRV and Doppler scans and in my...

I am scheduled in at the Pacific Interventionalists for Sept. 1 & 2 and have no qualms about my decision to go there. There was someone here on TIMS who had been treated there and was quite pleased - can't remember who it was?? Dr. Arata will be performing my surgery. Also, TIMS site is the BEST!! T...
