Again, focusing on studies based on Doppler ( operator dependent ) studies gives a very biased result that is not good. It shuts the door rather than asking for more study. A better gauge to measure CCSVI AND IT'S TREATMENT is Dr David Hubbard's objective before and after study of the brain perfusi...

The venocentric lesions appearance do NOT correlate with "attacks" nor do the locations of these lesions correlate with "function" areas ( like neurosurgeons use when determining risk) this has baffled the neuro community for many years. Could the lesions surrounding the vein be the bodies way of "s...

Big Pharma is extremely powerful. They have money and power! And they do not like anyone who puts obstacles of any kind in their way of making their millions of dollars in profit. I do not believe there is anyway to stop them. It is just awful that Kathleen has had to deal with their crap and deal w...

Thanks for coming back and getting the old timers up to date with your condition. And those of us that never met you are sure glad you came back too. I am wondering if any of any of the early first group from Zamboni's original study have not needed further PTA after their original procedure? At the...

My understanding that this drug Gilenya has a major action in that it "traps" lymphocytes , making them unable to do their role. (of course the immune theory believers think that this is a good thing) But honestly if the immune system (35% of all WBCs are lymphocytes) are tasked with tissue repair, ...

What studies to trust and why.

The problem with these studies is that they usually use a technician dependent method to find the reflux/blockages. Venography is the "gold standard" and even venography(fluoroscopy) has missed things that IVUS has found. In some studies they used relatives (this should have been excluded) In some s...

I think it depends on how long you have sedation and what type. Also how long your procedure is. My daughter's was long 3.5 hours. Her IR struggled with her difficult Azygos. So indeed she slept for a while in the recovery area.

She had "conscious sedation" I think versed and fentanyl.

CCSVI vascular anomalies are from birth, this creates an environment of lower than normal cerebral oxygen and glucose, these conditions trigger many microparticles including Endothelin1. Endothelin1 is found extremely high in pwMS. (Hundereda of times normal) Endothelin1 causes fibrosity ( stiffness...
