Re: How did your walking issues start? Trouble with walking
Hi Tashs For the record I have PPMS. My earliest symptoms were very minor, just some numbness in the thumb and fingers of my left hand. Two years later I got the l'hermitte's sign. That lasted about 1 week and thankfully never came back. That's about the time when I was Dxed with MS. That was 22 yea...

Re: Interesting Information About Lectins
So various diets eliminate different foods. The Swank diet eliminates most red meat and dairy The gluten free diet eliminates wheat (Which is in almost all prepared food) The starch solution diet eliminates all meat and animal products. And now this diet eliminates lectins So if you try to follow al...

Re: HERE'S WHY M.S ACTUALLY LYME DISEASE
I'm open to the idea that Big Pharma is not interested in finding a cure because they make more money selling their crappy DMDs. But this article offers no proof that MS is actually Lime Disease. Personally I was Dxed with MS 22 years ago. Since then I've been on a variety of antibiotics for various...

Inspiration
Sometimes we need a little inspiration. I admit there have been times when I thought of putting a bullet through my head, not because of how I am now but out of fear of what I might become. This man's condition is my worst fear. But He's found a reason for living and a zest for life. Mitch Albom: Ho...

Re: A new concept and treatment options for MS
Leonard where is the proof of that? But recent new insights supported by an abundance of publications in the medical literature change this. MS is no longer that big unknown, is not in its origin a neurological disease, but is a metabolic disease caused by a virus, the herpes virus.

Re: Is saturated fat bad for people diagnosed with PPMS ??
That's kinda the direct opposite of my diet. I follow Dr McDougal's Theory. He says animal tissue can produce antibodies that can pass through the BBB and damage nerve tissues. His diet is 80% starch--potatoes, rice, etc and 20% veggies. Absolutely no meat, chicken, fish or dairy. I've been on it a...

Governments in the US, Mexico and Canada are run by crooks. Of course that's just my opinion.

Re: EBV reported 100% in a MS croatian sample
This is another study that makes EBV look like the smoking gun. But when you look at the underlying numbers it's not so certain. The study included 2022 participants. If these people represent a random cross section of Croatians then only about 3 of them were likely to have MS. (The prevalence of MS...

Re: Question about PPMS diagnosis and disease course
This video shows the exercise I mentioned earlier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oPHrX_oALk You have to put up with a commercial and some goofiness by the therapist. She shows several exercises, but the one I do starts at 1 minute and ends at 2 minutes. I do the left leg for 30 seconds and then t...

Sorry for being so late in my response. To answer your question I'm 69 years old. MS was dxed when I was 47. In the early stages it's hard to tell what type it is. It took a few years before the PPMS pattern was obvious.

Re: Question about PPMS diagnosis and disease course
There is a simple way to tell what type of MS you have: If you have relapses and remissions you have relapsing remitting MS. If you don't have relapses and remissions now but had them in the past then you might have Secondary progressive MS. I you don't have relapses and remissions and never did hav...

I think you should ask your doctor when its safe for you to travel.
May I ask if you had the flu shot before you got the flu?

Maybe you have a correlation between ozone and MS. But a correlation does not prove cause and effect. You need more than that.

I agree- we need to have hope and a belief that we will get better one day. I also believe in God and that prayers are sometimes answered.
Good luck to you friend.
