When this thread was transferred, I wasn't a happy bunny. This forum is a bit of a scary place to be honest. As for feeling gleeful? I'm horrified. Questions like that are exactly why this forum can be an unpleasant place. Discussion is purely that. I need to know more about this and the last couple...

I fear this shall end in tears. It's sad to see stories here of people with mild cases of Ms worse off after the angioplasty. If a skeptical viewpoint is not communicated how many naive ms patients will rush into a procedure that thus far has not been tested for safety let alone efficacy. This sums...

I'm feeling a bit conflicted right now. To be honest, with the exception of my rare hypertension problem (it's MS at the root of it), my general condition in MS terms is good. I can walk, think, talk and I look pretty normal. I'm not, I know that and I've been fortunate that the MS hasn't really pro...

I was reading the webchat from 2006 at the msrc with 'Dr' Trossel (just struck off for stem cell treatments that weren't and were illegal and towards the end, not even human stem cells)and all the positive testimonials read exactly like the venoplasty/diet accounts. Maybe there's a common pattern to...

Really, honestly - it isn't going to happen. Maybe for Chinese herbs this may be a good thing. The amount of toxic metals in the soil and air there are frightening and I wouldn't be happy to take Chinese herbs. No one is going to police the plants in the garden (except perhaps the sativa plants!). L...

The hole in the arguement, is that there are hundreds of books for sale about medicinal herbs/roots in Spain. People go out picking Tila flowers and many other herbs all year round and most farmicias also sell dried herbs. But they sell dried herbs - no claims about health benefits or uses for disea...

Back in 2000, just after diagnosis, I developed a pleasant feeling, like warm water trickling down my back. It stayed curiously pleasant for about 4 weeks and then all of a sudden became trigeminal neuralgia, at about 9/10 on the red-hot painometer. I had to take Tegretol for a few weeks, reduced th...

Hi Badger, Ask a question at the Everyday Living forum at the MSS. There's at least one person there who is taking Tysabri and LDN. I think their/her name is Sami. They are doing just fine on both. After all, if Tysabri works, it stops your MS or slow it down significantly and LDN will make you feel...

Re: LDN Prescriptions
Hi, what most people in the UK do, who can't get prescriptions, is to get a prescription on e-med and then send it to Glasgow. What people really need to know - and I apologise for having to write this, is that you can safely take beta-interferon with LDN. The reasons can be found at the LDN Trust. ...

I'm with patientx on this. I'm lucky in that since my first odd 'event' in 1993, that I haven't progressed much at all. I've been on Rebif since 2000, but from 1998 - 2000, I was constantly ill with odd things, every 6 or 8 weeks or so. I'm guessing that these were relapses. Since Rebif, I've had 5 ...

Does the MSRC have a comment about the stem cell case?
After reading about this in 'Stu's news and views' and knowing that it was New Pathways that featured the stem cell report, that was reported in the Daily Telegraph - do they have a comment? Patients threaten to sue doctor over exploitative stem cell treatments that did not work < shortened url >

Actually, according to the LDN Trust info in the UK, in RRMS, LDN modifies the immune system, not boosts it. It actually works in a similar way to Rebif, strengthening the blood/brain barrier and this is why I take both together. In my layperson's view, it may work in a different way for PPMS. This ...
