I had my CCSVI surgery done by Dr.Arata at Pacific Interventionalists in Sept. 2010. The valve at the collar bone of the RJV was closed 70% and the valve of the LJV was closed 50%. How many hours do you think I should separate taking the vitamin D from the magnesium? Interesting concept here! Even opiods don`t work for me. I just took` Filmakers` idea and tried some Benadry. No relief yet.

Thanks Filmaker for the tip! I have heard about pwMS taking Benadry for nerve pain. What dosage? I am willing to try anything now.

I think I have become a walking pharmacutical company with all the pills and vitamins I take to try and get rid of the nerve pain and MS bear hug! Well this is my regiment each day... `Jimmylegs` You got me into taking Magnesium. I am taking 500mg./day along with other vitamins as well. But noooooooooo relief from this `MS Bear Hug yet`! I have had it for over one year. I am losing hope already that this symptom will ever go away. I think mine is permanent. Any other suggestions?...

`Fogdweller` I am opposite in symptoms from you. In the morning my nerve pain (numbness with pins and needles feeling) is not so bad but by 3:00-5:00 p.m. extreme pain sets in. Everyday is the same. Not all Neurologists opposed to CCSVI !!!

I went to see my neurologist this week at the MS Clinic in Calgary, Alberta for my yearly visit and to get the results of my latest MRI. All looked good on my MRI and no new lesions or inflammatory action going on. What a relief that was!!! Than I decided to tell my neurologist about the CCSVI surge...

I am on Avonex. I don`t know if Interferon could make our problem worse!! Any ideas out there. I to have tried drugs, vitamins, diet. No relief from the pain of numbness and pins and needles.........

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my problem. I had the surgery done Sept.2010 in California and I had a followup doppler ultrasound done in Nov. 2010 in Calgary and the blood was flowing and all looked good. Perhaps I will get in contact with the doctor who did my surgery and see ...
