Cheer, What I have on the CCVI thread is a need to understand what may or may not cause it. To go blindly into the night serves no one. We have enough therapies that provide no known "mechanism of action". If it works great, but we should all be interested in what causes it. Compartmentali...

LC,
To verify Marc's facts:

Many with HHV have no idea they are infected.

Cheer, Maybe the connection is hard to see because only those carrying EBV in a highly virulent form, thus developing venous issues as a result, get MS. Some people die from the flu, most don't. I'm flying by the seat of my pants and making this up as I go! To add to this line of thinking, there are...

CCVI/ EBV link?

So, I am am firm believer that EBV and/or HHV's role in MS can no longer be dismissed. I also find the CCVI connection to be compelling. Here's my dilemma, after doing a search for both EBV and venous stenosis there was a ton of hits which honestly gave me a headache. I have to wonder if the pattern...

Ocrelizumab

I was going through the clinical trials list and saw that Ocrelizumab is, or is still recruiting for phase 2. I'm wondering if this is really just Rituxan with a more complicated name or is this a way to get around the financial loss of a soon to expire patent on Rituxan? They must have tweaked it m...

Jlegs, Where are you getting all your "levels" done? I have a wonderful Naturopath that I'm sure could do it, but to keep on top of it seems like it would require at least weekly visits. As a side note, being our resident natural healer, what do you know of Enzyme Therapy. I am intrigued a...

Marc,
Thanks. I have seen a few posts from people who have NOT had success with PLEX. It would be nice to find someone who has. For a simple mind (mine) the concept seems valid.
Peace,
Lars

Chris,
I know your Co. Springs history that's why the attempt at humor ...."oops". I haven't been back since the Tovaxin trial went up in flames. All busy-ness at RMMSC aside, what is your take on Vollmer? Or do you see Chorboy?

Bob, I don't think the viewpoints are contrary at all. Maybe just different road signs on the same highway. Enzyme Therapy was very much in the picture some years ago but like most Holistic answers, it was not widely accepted by Western medicine as an effective MS therapy, which is exactly why I am ...

Chris, Dr. Birnbaum works out of Grand Junction, Co. Sadly, down here in the sticks we are basically without Neurological care so I did the 5 hr drive to see him when I was diagnosed. He is busy as well and does a free clinic through National MS. We have tried to convince him to come to Durango to r...

Man w/ms, The "Avatar" bit was for Chris, as in Chrishasms. I hadn't really seen the red hair before! The Viking gene is a well discussed topic on this site as well as others that basically implies that there is a original MS connection to the Viking/Scandinavian heritage. The original rep...

Man W/MS, Not to pry, but does your Doc happen to be in Colorado? There is a Dr Birnbaum (check spelling) here that I have seen and your profile of him seems familiar. Chris, By the way, you should know the Colorado Birnbaum, no? And, I love the new avatar, you're like the poster child for the Vikin...

Hey Bob,
Not to beat a dead horse, but really, leaky gut syndrome and Enzyme therapy seem to be aimed towards the same end point. I anxiously await the counterpoint.
Be Well,
Lars
