Re: Nystagmus
Hi ebrownkirkland, I would not be overly concerned but if your daughter hasn't had a current vision check-up with a Pediatric Ophthalmologist I would suggest getting her one. The link below explains nystagmus and possible causes. Children mimic parents so it's really important not to discuss with yo...

Re: Disappearing Lesions
"All lesions disapearing would mean whatever caused them was not MS, as this would be uncommon for MS. " Actually it is quite normal. This one year time lapse video illustrates this phenomenon: http://www.msdiscovery.org/news/news_synthesis/322-more-meets-eye Those with MS will always hav...

Re: Trying to rule out MS
The muscles in my back started getting bad after my first son. I was 20. That's when fibro started too. The only way I can describe it is a major pulling tightness pressure pain with a deep ache. The muscle has at least doubled in size since it started. I can't turn my torso. You have a diagnosis o...

Re: Trying to rule out MS
Oh not to mention high doses of psych meds for bipolar 1, PTSD, panic disorder, anxiety disorder and borderline personality disorder. Are your medications prescribed and monitored by a Psychiatrist? If not I suggest you get into a Psychiatrist as these types of medications are their specialty. Work...

Re: Trying to rule out MS
There are numerous things that could cause your symptoms such as vitamin/mineral deficiencies, medications, mental health disorders and many other conditions. There is a diagnostic criteria for Multiple Sclerosis (The Revised McDonald Criteria), part of that criteria requires all other possible caus...

Re: Hello everyone
Hi Lawrence86, I have panic attacks, depression, and serve anxiety. Do you take medication to treat your anxiety/panic and depression? Are you seeing a Psychotherapist? If not I would suggest seeing a Psychiatrist for medication and a Psychotherapist for Therapy (counseling). If you are taking medic...

Re: 30 years of this crap
Several years back one doctor ran multiple tests and found autoimmune antibodies (MAG IGm or something) and it showed an autoimmune disease, but as you read, even the top (or so called top) doctors at universities have shrugged their shoulders at me, all saying, “it’s a KIND of MS” Okay, what kind?...

Re: 30 years of this crap
I know that 5% of people with MS have no visible lesions or bands; and I don’t know why it’s so far fetched that I’m not one of them. To clarify; 5% of those diagnosed with MS will not initially present with lesions. As the 5% indicates this is very rare. Even if a person fits into that rare 5%, wh...

Re: Really Think So Now
There are many conditions, some medications, vitamin/mineral deficiencies and mental health disorders that can cause similar symptoms as those seen in MS. There is no symptom exclusive to MS and all other possible causes for a person's symptoms must be ruled out per the McDonald Criteria. Migraines ...

Hi harvinder1988, The best thing you can do is consult with a Dr. as to the meaning of your MRIs and reports. I would be curious what medication you were on. A Psychotherapist doesn't prescribe medication. A Psychiatrist does prescribe medication but doesn't offer "therapy." Finding the right medication or combination of medications can take time and patience.
