I fear there is more douche-baggery on the horizon before this all settles down.

Re: latest BNAC research

And I had almost the opposite experience. My US done by Barrie Vascular noted 3 criteria for CCSVI. Then my US done in Brooklyn noted 4 of 5 criteria for CCSVI. Of course the rest is history. I guess what I am saying in a round about way is that I agree that it is only a bell weather test, if in fac...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

Further on the comments by Magoo and Cece, aggressive anti-CCSVI literature has arisen, which openly questions the existence of CCSVI as a pathological entity (CCSVI and MS: no meaning, no fact, Claudio Baracchini - Matteo Atzori - Paolo Gallo): "CCSVI appears to be a rather alien condition an...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

I went into the treatment as an atheist and skeptic. My friends and family rallied around me to look into this procedure since there was nothing left in the treatment box that was relevent; which led me here. I was certainly not looking for the kind of outcome I got, but just the reduction of some ...

Re: A worry

A week or two ago, I got my husband out of the house on a bike ride, and I got my kids out to the back yard, and it was briefly relaxing. Then my son calls up from the back yard that Dad's back, and he crashed his bike. Really? He's walking around, so I'm not too worried, but yeah, his leg had a ga...

Re: I was interviewed on CBC News regarding CCSVI and FDA

I was surprised to be invited to appear as a guest on the "Connect with Mark Kenney" show Thursday night. Upon returning home from a pain management Dr. appointment, I received a note from one of the show's producers on my blog, and two hours later I was sitting in a small studio staring ...

Re: FDA Shutting Down CCSVI Research

Here's the actual communication from FDA. I don't like it. http://www.fda.gov/MedicalDevices/Safety/AlertsandNotices/ucm303318.htm Among their recommendations: Before considering CCSVI treatment, discuss the potential risks and benefits with a neurologist or other health care provider who is famili...

Re: DrSclafani answers some questions

Dr.S I have just read up on others that have been treated and it seems to me to still be a guessing game from my prospective. And that must go for many others. Cece's comments have reminded me of the learning curve and the unknowns for each individual. Long distance, high cost packages for someone ...

Re: CCSVI in two days

Well, I wasn't going to post a 9 week report, but things have improved a bit so here I am. While I was numby all over last week, things suddenly got better last Thursday. Most of the numbness is gone, though some remains in my hands, but it is not constant. No leg heaviness or significant cog fog a...
