Re: L-carnitine - possible downside

Thanks so much for all this Scott1 and for looking into something outside your normal focus (as you said). I am only taking 200mg COQ10 - it is a brand used by practitioners. And 360mg of mag glycinate - will have to check the brand. I am approx 50kg so thought that was adequate. I was taking 1000mg...

Re: L-carnitine - possible downside

Thanks Scott1 I take COQ10 too My serum iron levels went from 9.6 uom/L last May to 12.6 in October and now it's at 17. I'm still taking ferrous fumerate and eating beef every couple of weeks. It's the MCV at 78.4 - due to being thalasseamic meaning my RBC can't carry as much oxygen. But on the surf...

Re: L-carnitine - possible downside

Thanks JL and Scott1 I was concerned due to some heart problems I seem to be experiencing, and didn't want to be making things worse. I feel better on the carnitine today. :) But the heart issues (if that's what they are) are worrying and even more so reading about PwMS being more likely to have hea...

Re: L-carnitine - possible downside

Thanks Scott1

Perhaps that could be why I am shattered today - I gave the acetyl-l-carnitine a miss this morning (and yesterday).

Also I am worried about some current symptoms and blood test results - thanks for your helpful reply.

Best

L-carnitine - possible downside

Hi I read an article about red meat last weekend - I hope it's Ok to quote a small para here. It mainly talks about industrialised farming and how that's damaged both meat, faming and the climate. But this part was interesting because I take acetyl-l-carnitine to help with MS and now I wonder if it'...

Phosphatidyl Choline question

Hello folks Well I am just reviewing my supps - something I do when I get a trigeinal neuralgia flare and my other remedies have't helped much. I have been taking phosphatidyl serine for a long time - but not the choline version. Does anyone here take it? I am sure I have seen a discussion on this b...

Re: diet, hormones, aging, immune function

Thanks Scott1 that's a very interesting discussion. It's always about the money, eh?! And JL, thanks for the links. I will definitely be adding more parsley, celery and camomile (tea) to my diet. But you guys can have the celeriac ;) On a serious note, I was a little worried reading that progestins ...

Re: Advice Wanted: Depression/BP and MS

Hello D It is nice that you are concerned enought to find us and write to ask. An MS diagnosis is a dream stealer. All your future hopes and dreams have no foundation any longer. And I can imagine that with any type of physical loss there will be grief - the loss of what she could do before, but can...

Re: Concerns about gabapentin

Same here NHE - I was offered it early on too. I declined it because the side effects seemed like MS symptoms. The burning feet are very bad at times, but not as much as they used to be. Maybe it is something we adjust to, as you say.

Re: Is Dr. Sclafani still around?

Obviously I am late to the CCSVI board. I only linked up with this after reading about it in LD. I emailed Dr Sclafani recently using the email he has in his comments here: ccsviliberation@gmail, and also sent him a private message here. I have had no replies. :( I do hope he is well. It does seem s...
