Re: Muscle Spasms & Nutrition - from magnesium to vitB3 to v

"aside/bump - how goes the magnesium trial, @david?" I'm taking 400 mg per day Day 1 was worse. Spasms at night were bad Days 2 and 3 were more or less normal for me. Spasms about the same as before. Day 4 spasms were slightly worse. I seem to be feeling weaker during the day though. Don't...

Jimmylegs
I like to shoot one duck at a time. But the Desatascador won't arrive for a couple of weeks, So I could try magnesium for a while and see if it helps. Let's say I don't want to go back to the doctor to get to get my serum blood level checked. So how much magnesium should I take?

Re: Multiple Sclerosis Desatascador

Elliot thanks for being the guinea pig on this one. I hope it works. HMMM! Well you convinced me. Its cheap, no more wacky than any other theory so why not give it a try. Besides amazon is my favorite shopping place. I'm going to see if it can reduce the muscle spasms I get at night. Dave (AKA guine...

I assume you are doing these things. May I ask how you're doing physically? Also what type of MS do you have and how long have you had it?

Re: Muscle Spasms & Nutrition - from magnesium to vitB3 to v

Jimmylegs In answer to your questions: 1. I've had blood work done in the past 5 years. Most results were in the normal range. What nutrients are you looking for? 2. no 3. no 4. I have great weakness in the left leg and very poor balance. I can still walk with my cane and foot brace but not very far...

Muscle Spasms & Nutrition - from magnesium to vitB3 to vitB1

split from general discussion: Jimmylegs ... I have a closet full of minerals, herbs and vitamins I've tried because someone said they help with MS. I've also tried all kinds of diets which purportedly help MSers. I even had a catheter run up my veins and an angioplasty balloon inflated in my jugula...

Simon
Yes I plan to study it myself. Now that you have explained it better you're not wasting my time. I do have another question though: 99.9% of people don't have MS. What is different about the 0.1% of us who do get it? Why do we have trouble with magnetosomes while other people don't?

Re: Multiple Sclerosis Desatascador

Gristy
Your recent posts are much more illuminating than the early ones. The early posts were confusing and evasive. The new ones are much better. Thank you for that.
BTW I'm also an engineer although I'm not an expert in electromagnetism Looks like I'll have to do some research.

May I ask you a few questions?
1) It seems you have knowledge of electro-magnetism. Are you an engineer?
2) Do you have a theory as to how magnetite causes MS?
3) Could magnetism explain why MS is more common at latitudes away from the equator?

Re: Multiple Sclerosis Desatascador

If I search the website you alluded to for Desatascador I find this: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dgarden&field-keywords=Desatascador+&rh=n%3A1055398%2Ck%3ADesatascador+ None of these fits the verbal description you gave. If I look up kloud I get this https://www...

Re: Multiple Sclerosis Desatascador

I don't mean to be rude but this thing sounds like a scam. A desatascador is a plunger. What does that have to do with MS? And the author is very evasive about answering questions as to how it works.

Re: Multiple Sclerosis Desatascador

The English translation of Desatascador is "plunger pipe cleaner nitric acid or caustic soda etc. used to clear blocked drains nitric acid used to clear blocked drains "

May I ask what this has to do with MS?

Re: Right to Try Act

In Australia we have "compassionate grounds" laws which allow access to unapproved treatments, and you don't need to be terminally ill to have access
Seems to me like the Australians have it right. But at least this legislation is a step in the right direction.

Right to Try Act

New legislation known as the "Right to Try Act" will allow terminally ill patients to try drugs that might help them even though the drugs have not been formally approved by the FDA. Do you agree with that legislation? http://time.com/5295636/trump-bill-terminal-patients-unproven-drugs/ ht...
