After my thrombosis I was put on coumadin for 3 months and Lovenox until I get INR 2-3. I took 11 WEEKS to get therapeutic (>2). They kept increasing the coumadin but the highest I got was 2.09! I weight 115lbs and don't eat meat (harder to increase INR) Wow! Let's see how long my up curve will tak...

Remind me: do you know if you have a clot? No, I am just worried because it's been a week of low INR after my procedure - plenty of time to get that clot started :( Why didn't I think of taking aspirin for a few days prior... Should INR levels on Coumadin be between 2 - 3? Yes! Have you read what J...

Yes, it's recanalization if the body dissolves the clot: http://www.thisisms.com/ftopicp-144699.html#144699 It seems to be a roll of the dice if it happens or not? When people get put on blood thinners after coming down with a clot, it is in attempt to prevent further clotting and allow the body to...

Vivavie, I have no wise words to share, but please accept my hugs, well wishes and Holiday greetings. Not seeing results after two procedures in my case is highly disappointing, I can only imagine how it must feel after five. A gentle PS... Did you get tested for Lyme by any chance? Headaches, noise...

An IVUS ([3-D color] Interventional Radiology Ultra-Sound) like the first one you had, if you did have one, will show if you have clots. They did not do the ultrasound on me (or any tests for that matter) because I brought the test results from Poland with me. Yes, the blood thinners do make you ve...

No improvements, more weakness 6 days post-op --> clots?
Or still recuperation? Blood thinners bringing my energy down?
The fact that you can only tell for sure that there are clots if you "go in" again (venogram) sucks

except the nurse who brought me the bad pan. I am scared of catheter but I have no problem with the bad pan. They do not like to use catheter in Bratislava/Slovakia only if the patient asks for it. Erika Thankfully there was none of this in the States. I was allowed to go to the restroom (yes, with...

Re: so what really IS an auto-immune disease?
When you have an autoimmune disease, your immune system attacks healthy cells in your body by mistake. Immune system does what it supposed to do - goes where inflammation is. I truly believe that in MS, just like in other "auto-immune" diseases immune system response comes AFTER something...
