Re: Side effects

This is interesting Fifer44: "Just a foot note. I met with the nurses today at my local MS Clinic to go over my options. I was told as of yesterday Tecfidera is no longer being offered as a 1st line drug but is now a 3rd line. So patients such as myself will not be offered this drug unless they...

Re: Marijuana compound may stop MS inflammation

I don't care so much about the 'MS-like diseases in mice'. The following is what I found to be significant: "researchers concluded that the presence of CBD or THC restrains the immune cells from triggering the production of inflammatory molecules and limits the molecules' ability to reach and d...

Need Ampyra Advice

I am torn. My left leg is weaker than my right and always have been. I have been working out faithfully and it remains the same. Although both legs are getting stronger, the left will never catch up to the right. This weakness causes a discernible limp and left legs tires more quickly. Last year my ...

Re: A paper by David Perlmutter, M.D.

I was a patient of Dr. Perlmutter's several years ago. It was he who started me on minocycline as he believed there was some bacterial component to MS. Although he did not follow the antibiotic protocol as we know it, I credit him for starting me on that path. I saw improvement on the minocycline an...

I just came across this post. Perhaps if you put it in the antibiotic thread it might receive some comments. Many people probably missed this.

Re: loriyas antibiotic log

For those of you who follow the antibiotic protocol updates: I saw Dr. S at Vanderbilt last week. My most recent (July) MRI shows no changes or activity, which I am very happy about. So together Dr. S and I decided to stop abxi protocol and see what happens. I was currently taking only 2 (rifampin a...

Re: FDA accepts Teva's sNDA for Copaxone dose

I just wish this was dosed on body weight not on a one size fits all dose. It has never made sense to me that all drugs aren't dosed this way. How can a 100 pound woman and a 250 pound man be dosed the same???!!! (Sorry, just a small rant!)

George, where are you located? Can you make an appointment at Vanderbilt MS Clinic? If you do you will need to go to the appointment and request the antibiotic protocol. Worth the trip.

Re: FDA accepts Teva's sNDA for Copaxone dose

Why won't they just change it to 20mg/1ml every other day??? (This is a rhetorical question-I know the answer!!)
