Re: Started Wheldon CAP

Not having any side effects so far or reactions to abx, does it mean anything? But, I would join those who would like to get information on treating the occuring side effects if they happen later on.

Re: Started Wheldon CAP

I am following the Wheldon protocol and have found that mcp helps immensely with the resulting inflammation. I've done a little research on mcp and suspect that it's ability to bind to inflammation causing galectin-3 (present in elevated levels in ms and arteriosclerosis plaques) is what makes it s...

Re: Started Wheldon CAP

I said that there have been two trials at Vanderbilt but the second one closed because too many people dropped out. In my country, the UK, trials are well nigh impossible to organise for MS unless you have a neurologist involved but the current batch of neuros believe too much in the auto-immune th...

Re: Started Wheldon CAP

Who do you mean when referring to "we?" The people at Vanderbilt, including the head neurologist, Ram Sriram, want nothing more than to help patients. However, patients do not tend to want to feel worse when they start on a trial. Antibiotics tend to make you feel worse before you start t...

Re: Started Wheldon CAP

The excuses for not having done a test with antibiotics is by no means lame. The last test that was tried at Vanderbilt too many people dropped out for whatever reason. My view is that it is not fair to do a double blind trial when you could just be benefitting from the treatment. I couldn't have w...

Re: Update

> MS which is universally accepted as a chronic inflammatory disease. Everyones's MS is different, but it's all inflammatory. That is not true. One of the problems with MS that people oversimplify it. In the progressive stage many people have no inflammation, that is why steroids are not useful for...

Re: My CtrlAltDel - Status

Please keep us posted. I guess what dr Burt put in his last paper about inflammation being the key is really the key to this crazy disease. shucks, what do you mean by "inflammation being the key"? The worst part of the disease is the progressive stage and that part is not inflammatory wi...

Re: My CtrlAltDel - Status

Maybe little off-topic, but I love You guys, this forum has given me hope and helped me live last 1,5 years (and coincidence or not - progression stopped). Similarly to You I have rather "exposed" job and live in "official denial" of disease (and I am 31 years old too ;) I am gl...

Re: Dr Burt and waiting forever

Good points gogo. I read a recent medical article that said the some doctors have identified a cancer related stem cell that is very twilight and can hide in the body for years or be behind some latent malignancies. It may even be responsible for cancers that don't respond to chemo in the body like...

Re: Possible Cure for MS a Bacterial Infection see video

Dr Burt isn't a neurologist... If there was enough evidence to suggest that a simple cocktail of antibiotics could cure MS, I would have thought that it would be being investigated by an MS specialist, or funded by the MSSOCIETY, or at least someone, they're trying helminths for goodness sake! jeez...

Re: Dr Burt and waiting forever

So, 10+ more years :(. Think it is better to do it now, rather than wait. In 10 years who know what will happen with your MS :(. This is the way that all the drugs go through to get approval. HSCT is not a cake walk. It has an approximately 70% of success rate with a high mortality rate of 2-3%. Pa...

Re: Dr. Botev autologous stem cell treatment Sofia - Bulgari

I'm currently going for my MS in the Ocrelizumab trial in this hospital, but the neurologists there are skeptical about stem cells. They said that they are doing stem cells in the hospital, but the results are not very good for MS, and they don't recommend it. CCSVI and stem cells are big income to...

apologies for delay in reply. Dont visit the site very often. I didnt give any medical advice and wouldnt be so arrogant as to do so. I just said BE CAREFUL. My experience was not good as I went from RRMS to SPMS after having this. Went from 3.5 to 6.5 on the EDSS so it clearly doesnt work for ever...
