Re: When do YOU think there will be a cure?

There have been several treatments on that poor MS mouse that have stopped and reversed the disease in mice. But sadly, none of them have worked in humans. As for when there will be a cure....who knows? Could be 5, 10, 25 years. I think it will be stumbled upon, likely in grass roots research which ...

Re: Dx with breast cancer Now :(

I've tried copaxone, tecfedera and now tysabri. Sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis. It's the last thing you needed at this time in your life. Not so much Copaxone but the last two drugs mess with your immune system, especially Tysabri. There have been many reported side effects involving ser...

Re: How many of you have Amalgam fillings

If mercury fillings do not contribute to MS you need to explain the people who get better when they have them removed. I know of people who have MS and had their mercury fillings removed and nothing changed. I know of people who have taken an approved MS drug and become better. I know of MS patient...

Re: some ramblings

Ever hear of the cluster of MS study done in El Paso. They want to link it to ASARCO smelter plant. Seems emissions of iron, lead, arsenic, zinc and cadmium may be toxic and may result in MS. Best to keep the bodies environment free of toxins. http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/epitox/elpasostudy.shtm &qu...

Re: trying to keep it simpler !

When one has MS, the body does not function in the normal manner.Your "wiring system" isn't able to transmit the proper signals to various organs in the body. Depending where the damage in the brain is located will determine what kind of symptoms you have.. At the moment, we treat the vari...

PML Cases Now Reach 486

A rather large jump this past month in Tysabri related PML cases...up 11 to a new total of 486. Not known if any additional deaths were involved. Despite all the JCV screening tests, there doesn't appear to be any let up in the number of MS patients getting PML from Tysabri use. http://chefarztfrau....

Re: Ebola virus

They are working very hard to get another vaccine out there and convincing people you need the vaccine to get well. Yes, can you imagine the gall of those people who have produced a vaccine that can possibly cure Ebola?! How dare they try and dupe us into thinking this vaccine is needed. Would be n...

Re: Ebola virus

i see the Doc in Atlanta has been cured of Ebola. Cured as in he no longer has the virus - not cured as in wanna be cured hopefully, what they learned in Atlanta can be used for the rest of the world. Excellent news Doug! I believe he was given the experimental vaccine but don't know for sure. Let'...

Re: some ramblings

The cause is environmental and people who do not have the good genetics which allow them to get rid of the toxins easily will get a disease. There is no one cause. That is how they confuse the issue. Well, that certainly clears up the confusion!! No one that I know of is looking for the cause. Well...

Re: some ramblings

I've been following MS research for some 45 years now, first with an uncle who had the disease when I was in my teens and then my wife who had it for about 35 years before passing away in 2007 from other complications caused from having MS for so long. I know exactly what you mean when mention the r...

Re: Ebola virus

I didn't say take a couple tablets of vitamin C. I said large doses have been shown to kill viruses. If you think that large doses of vitamin C would save you from the Ebola virus, be my guest and do that should you ever have the misfortune of coming into contact with the extremely deadly virus. Bu...

Re: Grrr now my legs feel like concrete with pins and needle

Wow, start to feel better when you increase your work and exercise load!! MS affects people so differently and is such a complex disease. I'm sure a number of MS patients would love to have the same reaction as you do after increasing your work load. Just go with it and do what works for you.

Re: Grrr now my legs feel like concrete with pins and needle

I have heat sensitivity. I try to stay cool, or all my symptoms get much worse. Your symptoms could be an ms attack (flare, episode, exacerbation), or they could be heat related. My wife had the same problem with heat which ended up causing extreme fatigue as well as heavy duty weakness in her legs...

Re: Ebola virus

I would ask the person with Ebola who is dying an atrocious death how they feel about a possible vaccine. Ebola (which some people actually believe is a government plan to kill, just like AIDS is still thought to be) is so aggressive that the only prevention is avoidance. Makes me sick to see those...
