Re: Lipoic acid + acetyl-L-carnitine

I know it's been a while since I had originally posted the above research abstract. However, I have recently decided to do a little experiment with acetyl-L-carnitine. I've been taking r-lipoic acid for several years now and thought that I would try adding some acety-L-carnitine. I decided that it w...

Re: Copaxone and Cancer?

Someone very close to me was diagnosed with cancer and had previously been taking copaxone for two years. Nobody thought there was any connection. However, Teva seems very interested. Which is provoking this question. Has anyone else out there had a similar experience? I'm not saying that there is ...

Re: Travelling south to escape MS and other B.S.

Hi All, The saying is "garbage in = garbage out" and it's quite accurate. The U.S. once had a lot of success with histamine (bee venom contains 1%, histamine, I believe) via the Mayo Clinic. Today they (the AMA) call everything "auto-immune" (up to over 60 diseases now: lupus, M...

Re: Eye problems

Punchy - Just a thought Do you think they are gold spots or could they be what are called flashers? You might try PM "eyedoc" - He would be helpful in ruling out the flashers. And, flashers to my knowledge are not caused by vitamin deficiencies. I second the suggestion to PM Eyedoc. It mi...

Re: nutritional type & anti inflammatory diet

I used to follow the swank diet but was told to try the nutritional type diet - I am a protein type (which interestingly agrees with my blood type though I was not asked). Now I eat protein but only organic - chicken, kangaroo, a little low fat lamb & progurt (made from organic full cream milk)...

Re: This might be a dumb question, but ...

What about the role of water? When I go to get my infusions they always have a hard time finding my veins. I know that I don't drink enough water (like, serioulsy, maybe 2-3 glasses per week) , but now I'm starting to wonder just how poor of a choice that has been. No water + heat +stenosis = ?????...

Re: vasoconstricters

"Cold, fear, stress, and nicotine are common exogenous vasoconstrictors." For all the smokers out there. I don't wish to turn this into an anti-smoking rant as it's not the right place for it but here's something else for smokers to consider. How long do you want to live? This data ...

Re: a glossary?

You can always get a good medical dictionary to look up the terms. You may be able to find one in your local library or a used bookstore. I happen to like Stedmans but there are many available. Note that Stedmans has an online version of the dictionary available and Webster's Dictionary has a medica...

Re: At Stanford

We're staying at the Sheraton right across the street. Disabled rooms on the top floor and pretty nice, though like most able bodied people they assume that a disabled person has enough mobility to get from a car to a room that is--I swear--1/4 mile all told from disabled parking to door....labrint...

Re: Immune system activation in CCSVI

Hi Cheerleader, Marie is on the road, and NHE brought up some important points regarding the immune system, autoimmunity in MS, and how this may fit in the model of CCSVI. Here are NHE's thoughts... http://www.thisisms.com/ftopicp-57620.html#57620 I am of the opinion that the immune activation is se...

I just noticed the following message: "Your Savebox is 116% full" Should I be concerned about losing my history? It's certainly possible that you could lose messages. Each of the Inbox, Sent, and Saved mailboxes are set to hold 100 messages. As such, each message will take up 1% of the al...

Moving a post

Q: I posted my message to the wrong forum. Can it be moved to another forum which is more appropriate? A: Yes. If you find that you have posted a message to a forum and later discover that it would be more fitting to have posted it to a different forum where the subject is more appropriate, then it ...
