jimmylegs, Help Needed!

I am getting so bad that I think I will probably end up in a nursing home this year. That would be the end of me. Main (MS) problems: 1) Muscle tightness and spasms. The spasms are really severe with the 1st few movements, no matter how small, after waking. The muscle tightness is even effecting my ...

Re: blood test results

i'm just noticing the math issues with that guide, ie 1/2 c + 1/2 c = 2 c but, you get the general idea :) I think the reason may be that the hands are different :-| ... or that the total capacity of 2 hands together may equal 2 cups, whereas 2 hands separate from each other may equal 1/2 cup + 1/2...

Re: slamming the zinc reference range

update. as of last bloodwork, i fit in at 68 ug/d. guess what, no red flag from the local lab or the doc, because according to their ridiculous lower cutoff (50!?!) my level is 'normal'. FFS. i'm taking extra zinc for a month, by which time i had better be in the 110-120 ballpark. I would guess tha...

Re: Zinc/copper balance

Mid 2017 my Zn & Cu labs were:

Zinc ----- 75 ug/dL_____60 - 120 ug/dL

Copper
--- 96 ug/dL______70 - 140 ug/dL

Could this be causing my Mg resistance :?:

What other problems might this be causing :?:

Or, no problem :?:

Re: Creeping Paralysis

I thought this was morbidly interesting. It's from the New York Times, August 28th, 1910 (click on "view full article") http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F50A12F6355D16738DDDA10A94D0405B808DF1D3 That link did not work for me. I did run into this, though: The Woman With Creepi...

Re: Massage Chairs - MUCH more than a vibrating chair

Thanks. :-D

The thing that makes my massage chair less than easy to get into is the foot massage unit in front of it.

But, like I said, with the living room now cleared up, it's not that hard to get in and out of the chair safely.

Re: Massage Chairs - MUCH more than a vibrating chair

Things are looking up in my living room now. I got rid of the couch, which was doing me no good, and taking up a lot of space. With the additional space in my living room, I have ample room to get into the massage chair. I still don't have a really easy time getting into the chair, but it's easy eno...

Re: Can Eating Pork Cause MS ?

ultimately ms is multifactorial and unsurprisingly, it would appear that moderation is the key. Most everything is multifactorial. What are the BIG players? I'm not trying to be disagreeable here, but when I hear words like "moderation", I think, "So we're going to get over a serious...

Re: Excessive water intake with MS

I do take magnesium, fish oil, chondroitin and glucosamine, cinnamon, b12 supplements just for the record. I just read that you take cinnamon . If one takes enough cinnamon it can be hard on the kidneys and the liver I believe. Coumarin is the substance that causes the damage. There's a lot of it i...

Cold creeping up my arms and legs

When I don't eat enough during the day, my hands get cold. My feet would too, if I wasn't wearing shoes. If I continue not eating enough during the day, as the day progresses, the coldness creeps up my arms and legs.

I also notice that under-eating causes greater spasticity.
