Here is some recent news about the human proteome project and the human connectome project. I think progress on these projects can't hurt our understanding of MS. Proteome: http://www.lifescientist.com.au/article/361934/human_proteome_project_launches_sydney/?fp=4194304&fpid=1 http://www.lifesci...

Based on this post from gkalman, I added gilenya to the approved list:

I think we are going to see new MS drug approvals every year from now on (until a cure).

Actually, anything that's still in phase 2, even if it has been in phase 2 trials for a couple of years, is AT LEAST 4 years from approval, and 5 or 6 years is more realistic, and 8 years isn't unreasonable. Clinical trials ...

Based on a posting from squiffy2 I added MIS416 to the phase 2 list. I like it because it's for progressive MS and Innate Therapeutics got some funding from Fast Forward:

I'm with patientx, maybe check out the Cleveland Clinic trial. All the other stem cell trials in the US appear not to be recruiting patients right now (other than Northwestern). It's only a phase 1 trial, but that means there is no placebo to worry about. http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00...

Not the same initiative, but related research.
