Re: Hubbard`s testing protocol
J I paid an extra $400.00 to have my reports sent to Dr. Haacke for review. Why on earth would anyone pay to have their MRI scans reviewed by Mr. Haacke? He is not a radiologist. That's Dr Haacke, to you. Aside from having invented SWI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susceptibility_weighted_imaging an...

TEE for semi-invasive azygos imaging
How about using TEE for imaging the azygos?
Might require a sedative, but you don't have the issues of blood, thinning, hyper-sterility, or post-op treatment.

Re: Statistics
The important question is not *who* has CCSVI - everyone except neuros knows the answer to that one - but rather why can't we predict the outcomes of CCSVI treatment? Wouldn't this be because of the varying skill levels of the different IRs at finding and treating stenoses; stenoses themselves vary...

Re: Statistics
Hi, Dr. Sclafani I've read various places that about 1/3 of patients get great results, 1/2 get moderate results and 1/3 don't see any benefit. That leads to several questions. Including, where did the extra 1/6 of patients come from? But seriously, I would like to have the surgeons performing thes...

Folks are disappointed that only 2/3 of those patients liberated show either major or minor improvements in symptoms. Get real people. My issue is not with the effectiveness or not per se, but rather not understanding why there's such variation in outcome. I haven't seen anyone be able to predict o...

Scorecard for the class of July 1-4
We're in Krakow after a week in Tychy, heading home to the States tomorrow. Our group of 15 was the last before Dr K and folk go on a well-deserved holiday. It was very hot last week and the local hospital was inundated with heart attack and accident victims. The first two of our group had their pro...

Time to Involve Michelle Obama?
While I have no illusions about the current administration being immune from the influence of money, I think the First Lady would have a lot of traction with public opinion and the press if she got involved. MS killed her father, and if Hauser et al hadn't squashed Schelling's findings in the 1980s,...

The lumbar veins are usually showing agenesis meaning they simply didn't develop correctly according to Dr. Zamboni's papers this is not something that can be repaired. So not being able to repair something means pretending it can't be a cause or contributing factor? I know, you're just quoting and...
