Re: ISNVD 2017 in Italy
Keep sharing, Rogan, this is all good stuff. He mentions why healthy people have CCSVI and no MS. He mentions like 5 different organs and diseases whereby you can have one fatal flaw but be healthy. Two and you get sick. He mentioned congested heart patients that are fine until they develop and aneu...

https://twitter.com/search?q=isnvd&src=typd some tweets about ISNVD What does this one mean? Veroux: compliant venous scaffold for treatment of impaired venous outflow from the brain. #ISNVD #CCSVI And does "frequency of neck vessels" mean we literally have more veins in our necks? Tha...

Re: ISNVD 2017 in Italy
Thanks, Rogan, this is a busy birthday weekend for me and I've not been able to follow along. I love what you are saying here. I had those immediate operating table improvements and it's surreal to experience as a patient. I love that the Bulgarian researchers are taking that seriously and researchi...

Re: Absorbable stents are worse for heart patients
Why more heart attacks in people with absorbable stents? If the stents were more likely to clog or induce clots that broke loose, that could make absorbable stents less useful in CCSVI. A clot coming loose from the jugulars can end up in the lungs.

Re: ISNVD 2017 in Italy
Dr. Owiesy will be there (again) this time too. Hopefully the rock stars of CCSVI will take a minute and listen to what he has to say. It would by far be in their best interests. I found this (maybe it was shared in your thread): https://www.researchgate.net/publication/313761978_Autonomic_signalin...

Re: 'Scientific quackery': UBC study (regarding CCSVI)
Do you know of anyone maintaining a detailed CCSVI angioplasty registry? What comes to mind are the single center studies, where they track all procedures at their center. Those have been helpful in showing that the procedure is safe. There was one of those presented at SIR this year, although that...

Re: 'Scientific quackery': UBC study (regarding CCSVI)
CCSVI is only ONE manifestation of MS pathology. It will be understood eventually that MS lesions are caused by disrupted central nervous system fluid flows (venous blood, cerebro-spinal fluid) which agress the brain and spinal cord leading to inflammation /lesions. However, the origins of this dis...

Re: Apology needed from Cheerleader and Cece
Many treatments that are very popular and have significant anecdotal evidence end up being completely ineffective. A good example is blood letting which is still practiced today: Just as an aside, we do have a 78 page thread where phlebotomy (blood letting) is being attempted as MS treatment. There...

Re: Apology needed from Cheerleader and Cece
Centenarian mentioned subgroup analysis! We need a subgroup analysis by percentage of blood flow improvement in the trabalousee study. The one that Dr sclafani mentioned went from 93% or so to 80%. The data can be examined comparing those with small flow improvements like that to those with larger f...

Re: Apology needed from Cheerleader and Cece
A good community is a valuable thing. I have met more than 3 TiMS members in the flesh! And it was wonderful to talk in person to the people I'd been talking to online. I hope the general forum gets restored to whatever you can make it be. I hope more positive CCSVI news comes in at ISNVD because th...
