Re: Need info on wheelchair battery replacement

Now the battery is dead and since she has switched to a HMO from Medicare, they say they'll come help her as follows: she pays them $400 CASH (not even debit card), they give her a loaner and take the chair to their shop which is about 2 hours away, and will replace battery and bring it back. Smell...

Texas Heat!

Texas Heat Dear Diary Just moved to Texas! Now this is a state that knows how to live!! Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings. It is beautiful. I've finally found my home. I love it here. June 14th: Really heating up. Got to 100 today. Not a problem. Live in an air-conditioned home, drive an...

Re: burning, aching, feeling

Everyday now I get a burning, aching, tired feeling in my legs, getting worse near the end of the day. It feels like after you've worked out a lot but I've just been doing regular daily activity. Is this part of the 'MS fatigue' that I hear about or is that meaning sleepy tired? I'm wondering if ex...

Re: National Health Care (U.S.)

While I'm not familiar with the fine print in Obama's plan, I think that a national health care system is long overdue in the US. However, I fear that compromises due to special interests are only going to make any proposed plan worse. I just heard on the radio the other day that the pharmaceutical ...

Re: "Significant"

I agree with your point that in these uncertain circumstances I can't define "significant" BUT, even with the best efforts of modern science it's pretty hard NOT to come up with a "significant" margin of error in these conditions. Additionally, from my end of the argument "...

If I weren't so happy I would beat my head against the wall

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a difficult time right now. I can't imagine having 4 LPs. The week long excruciating headache I had after my single LP was enough. Have you ever had blood tests to look at your vitamin and mineral levels?

Lowtide

A local beach at a -3.2 foot (-0.98 m) low tide. Not too many people, it seemed like it was just me, the moonsnails (which are about 5.75" (14.6 cm) long) and a few seagulls.

Is it just me with my old fashioned web browser, Mozilla 1.7.13, or are other people noticing that the top of that web page is cut off?

Re: Smoking speeds MS progression

Not only that, this article is poorly written: Of the 891 patients the team followed for that period to determine the rate of progression from one form of disease to the other, 72 saw their MS progress to the worse relapsing-remitting form: 20 of 154 smokers, 20 of 237 ex-smokers, and 32 of 500 nev...

Re: Altititude and MS?

And this past winter is when everthing started for me,my toes on my right foot going completly white and numb That sort of sounds like it might be related to Raynaud's syndrome. I used to get that in my fingers. However, I haven't had a reoccurrence of it since I started taking a combined calcium, ...

Re: SPMS - What do I do?

There are many of us here at TIMS that don't think much about the CRAB's meds, at most they do is some symptom relief. I'm not sure that I would agree with that. They do slow progression somewhat just not by a great deal. In addition, Avonex has also been shown to reduce brain atrophy. However, the...
