Shingles - lucky me -NOT

I had a third dose of alamtuzumab a couple months ago. I took the acyclovir as instructed and all was good but I took my triplets for a well visit and they got the chicken pox booster. I didn't think about it because I've had chicken pox. I forgot about the possibility of getting shingles and now I ...

Acthar gel for injection

Has anyone out here used this before. After my worst exacerbation to date I had 3 days of IV solumedrol followed by a methylprednisolone dose pack. It didn't help so the next week I had three more days of IV solumedrol that didn't work then the next week I had five days of IV solumedrol. It absolute...

Re: Wheelchair

I forgot to add diet - I am gluten free and eat a little lean red meat and chicken. I do not eat much fish since I live in KY so I'm landlocked. If it smells fishy it makes me gag. Mostly it smells fishy.

Wheelchair

I can see a wheelchair getting closer and closer. I'm scared. My independence is slowly getting chiseled away. I know someday I'll be okay with it but right now I'm I having a tough time accepting.

Re: Possible MS Diagnosis?

If there is a possibility that you have ms get your affairs in order. No one seems to talk about this much but with hindsight being 20/20 I wish I had signed up for long term care insurance. This is not long term disability. It is another insurance policy that will help pay for the need of an in hom...

Re: New Information

How do you know that the foods you eat aren't GMO? They usually aren't labeled.

Re: almostCLever Update

Back in 2006 when I was dx'd with MS I was told that Lyme disease doesn't cause spinal cord lesions so if you have brain lesions and spinal cord lesions then it's definitely MS. No lyme test was done. If I only had brain lesions they would have ordered a lyme test. Has anyone else been told this?

Re: venoplasty and alemtuzumab

I take a low dose aspirin every day and have done alemtuzumab three times. The last time was two weeks ago. Low dose aspirin has health benefits that outweigh the possible risks IMO.

Re: Third dose of Campath? ( can't decide)

I received my third dose m-w of this past week. I deliberated about it also due to a documented flair that I recovered from but after losing my balance, hitting the kitchen floor, and getting eight stitches over my eyebrow a few weeks ago I decided to do it. Hopefully I'll regain some balance after ...
