I guess that was my main concern, symptom relief, and now that I think about it, starting my day off with a cold shower does seem to keep me more awake throughout the day, I'm just going to stop torturing myself with the freezing cold water, I'll keep it on the cool side LOL.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if you were right, I rarely trust my doctors to know what they are talking about LOL I research everything they tell me because doctors are people too,...

Food seems to definitely play a role when it comes to MS, certain foods are known to cause inflammation which is believed to be one of the root causes of MS symptoms. I wrote an article on my blog today about the anti-inflammatory diet and how certain foods can cause inflammation and make symptoms w...

Soy is a legume and as such considered bad. I've followed BBD since 2004 and did not eliminate legumes in the first year. Improvement only came after I got rid of the legumes. hi, could you possibly explain this to me really quick? I am interested, I read on several sources online, in books, and my...

cold showers/ baths, good or bad?

So obviously heat is bad for MS, cool environments are good so my question is this, does the cold temperature actually benefit MS patients or are those of us with MS simply trying to avoid heat? I've been trying to take cool showers and in the last few days I have been slowly reducing the temperatur...

Firstly, nicotine is the world's most powerful natural insecticide. Imagine living next door to a farm that sprayed insecticide daily and that although you did not inhale the stuff directly, you breathed in quite a bit of the residue all day long. It may not kill you but I doubt it would do you or ...

Re: Smoking environments? How harmful are they?

well, it definitely seems that based on everyone's personal experience, that smoking does not seem to hazardous to multiple sclerosis as far as symptoms/ exacerbations are concerned. I beg to differ with that generalization. Cigarettes are highly addictive poison. Moreover, the National MS Society ...

Smoking environments? How harmful are they?

So this seems like a stupid question, the answer seems so obvious, but I'm wondering, how much of a health risk is it to spend time in a car or household that smells like smoke even if no one is actually smoking? I don't have too much of a knowledge on the smoking thing but I would imagine the reaso...
