Re: HUSBAND IS IN LIMBO...TRYING TO FIND ANSWERS

I'm not much help here, just support! :YMHUG: A hug and a shoulder for all you and hubby are going through. To answer one of your questions I've not heard of MS lesions going away. Normally they scar up; hence the name Sclerosis. Many Scars. Mighty Scary, for some people! Has hubby had bloodwork to ...

Question for Squiffy

Are you the squiffy2 I saw on another website in a clown suit? In the London Marathon, 2005? How did you run in those shoes? They're the kind of shoe you ask someone who doesn't have MS to wear to give them an idea of how we walk!

Re: Vision - Exercise = bad Alchohol = Good help please

Sorry for you having to post here! Not where many people want to be here but it sure is nice if you need it. Take a look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uhthoff%27s_phenomenon and see if describes your situation. Don't worry too much if it does - mine went away and hasn't returned since the ea...

Re: Researchers identify potassium channel as an MS autoanti

Ampyra is a potassium channel blocker, isn't it? Maybe I'm getting this backward but from what I'm reading here it seems Ampyra goes against this discovery.

Re: Does stress management slow Multiple Sclerosis?

Even if less stress makes us feel like the MS is slowed, isn't that half the battle? Aren't the majority of the meds we take only for symptom management?

For some of us, feeling better is all we hope for! :-D

Which came first - the MS or the stress? This debate will wage forever.

Re: what to expect at first neuro visit

Hi fallinggirl! I hope your appointment is helpful. Hopefully the neurologist has already seen your MRI images. If not you might be told to come back after they've been reviewed, or you might get lucky and have them reviewed while you're there. You should get basic muscle and reflex exams. This invo...

Re: Balance Exercises

You people are reading my mind! I just found an older thread about foot drop exercises, and now these. I really want to incorporate my exercise ball into the exercising that I need to get back in to. Thank you! I saved the website to My Favorites, and copied most of the exercise descriptions to a do...
