Thanks. I think I had a particularly bad shot last night. My leg has still been really quite sore all day today. Everyone I've spoken to says that I shouldn't have had the intense pain for as long as I did last night, so I'll give it another go tonight, this time in my tummy. But I've got to say if ...

just read through this. I'm about to start Copaxone next Monday, and am very nervous about all this stinging I hear about. I'm also very worried about lipoatrophy. What I've read says that you shouldn't massage a site you've injected into for at least 24 hours, because doing so could increase the ri...

my guess would be that it was a year of Avonex injections. All the interferons need constant monitoring to make sure that the liver doesn't have any damage.

I am really coming to realise how much the discovery of treatments to help us are based around drug company finance and competition. I hate it.

cladribine in the uk

They're already applying for a license here in the UK. Which means it could be available by 2011 in the UK. However, I'm really not sure I like the idea of increasing my risk of getting cancer or life threatening infections (the guardian article has more about this)! In brief: http://news.bbc.co.uk/...

:o WOW! does anybody else find this as exciting as I do? I mean, I'm not one to pin my hope on fancies, and it's early early days yet, but this is closer than they've gotten before to actually working on repair rather than just prevention and maintenance!

By the way, Avonex, an IM injection, also has the air bubble in the syringe. Yes, but when I went on Avonex originally in '96 and received my Avonex training (was in the U.S. then, but am in the UK now) I was told by the nurse to definitely take the air bubble out. And Deb, congrats on getting into...

Re: Short temper

Anyone else notice this side effect when taking rebif? Absolutely! I took Rebif between January and late April last year and each time I titrated up a dose, my temper did too! The anxiety and irritability got so back I had to completely stop taking it. I've had MS for 12 years and a long history of...

injections, air bubbles, stinging and the like

hello. I spent some time on these boards last year when I was taking Rebif, which I couldn't take and came off of after 4 months. Saw my neuro yesterday and now it seems that I am to start Copaxone. I find the mere thought of daily injections SO daunting. I am scared of the stinging and more scared ...

hi catfreak, just wondered, could you tell me why you didn't want to consider avonex? i'm really thinking of what my options might be now. i can't handle the 44mcg of rebif after doing ok on the 22, but my nurse really didn't want me to be on the 22. (she's a 'one size fits all' kind of medical prof...

odd things

hi there, i've been on my ribif injections for about a month now. i'm still at 22mcg, and i'm not too eager to push it up to 44. that's not really what my question is about anyway. i use the rebiject and i am really proud of myself for overcoming a real problem with needles and just doing this. but ...

no, i'm mostly fine on the 8.8 mcg, but of course i'm going to be up to 22 then 44 soon, so i'm just preparing. it's not really the amount in one dose that i'm concerned about, i'm sure i can find the correct dose to make the pain stop. my big concern is dosing three times a week and the long term e...

pinkillers

hi. i'm not really a new member, but i haven't posted for a very long time, and then, not much. i'll try to get around to posting in the introductions thread eventually. my question is about use of painkillers for flu side effects with rebif. i started on my first inj of treatment this morning. it w...
