Re: 2 Years Post HSCT And MS Still Stopped

It has been pretty lonely around here Potts. My job and position make me unlikely to join the Facebook page, and since It is members only, I can't lurk.

Re: HiCy in Europe

Any time you get a neuro outside of crab drugs, my experience is that they get shifty pretty quickly. I think that doing your own research about treatments is the only way to go. I have been looking into hsct for the last year and a half, as my research led me to that as the most effective treatment...

Insurance gave me tHe final no for Burt trial.

So I got my final no from bcbssc on dr Burt's trial. I have pulled out all of the stops on the appeals, and now I only have the option of appealing to the state insurance board, who can order them to pay since it is a state health plan. Just thought you Guys thinking of hsct in the Burt trial should...

Re: Article responses on hsct?

When I met with dr Burt, they told me that I didn't have any active lesions, but the lesion load has increased substantially, so I guess the inflammatory stage can be diagnosed in either of those ways.

Re: Article responses on hsct?

The main reason I posted the article was the startling differences in the progression rates in the study compared to what I have read elsewhere. I always learn a ton when you science guys get rolling on these topics. It is always. Good to see Dave around TIMS. I know I am coming in late (work has be...

Re: 2 Years Post HSCT And MS Still Stopped

Lisa is one of the folks who started me on the journey to try to get this treatment (along of course with You guys around here) and she is a great lady. I wish her the best.

Re: 2 Years Post HSCT And MS Still Stopped

What i was told was that a relapse usually occurs in those that get the "fever that no one can explain" during the Lympho ablative. That is just what I take from my meeting with NWM.

Re: My CtrlAltDel - Status

I just got the news that my insurance pre approved all of the "pre HSCT testing" while not promising anything about the procedure. Even better, NW is allowing me to get most of the list of tests done at home, over 1k miles from chicago, and send the results to them. COuld this be a sign th...

Re: My CtrlAltDel - Status

Good luck Kevin! I will lurk the hsct fb page, but. The nature of my job requires that I keep my health stuff close to the vest. Here at least, it is semi anonymous. I have talked to many of you through pm and email, but public forum might cause me some issues. Thanks for all of the advice, and I wi...

Re: 2 Years Post HSCT And MS Still Stopped

HUD, did your fever lead to a mild relapse? Dr Burt told me that that was the biggest risk with the nutripenic fever.
