When I had my first relapse it came in the form of a nasty vertigo. The worst of the vertigo went away in about three weeks but for about four months I felt like I was walking on ground that was crooked. One day bam,the feeling was gone and although I still feel off balance at times it is NOTHING l...

Mattaleng, I have the same issue. I think part of the problem is that realpses seem to be fairly speedy, where as the 'recovery' from relapse seems to be SOOOOOO gradual. Then you add in the fact that you don't know if the symptoms you continue to feel are just going to be your baseline from now on...

When do I know it's time to declare Remission?

So Im wondering, how do I know if I am in remission or not? I am doing much much better, I still have some symptoms left but for the most part I am living an active life once again, but when should I declare remission? How do people usually gauge that and put a date to it you know?

General medication section: just a suggestion / Steroids

So I was thinking there should probably be a general medication section for people to post questions about medicine other than the main ones. For example, none of my doctors really told me that it's a bad idea to take Prednisone and ibuprofen at the same time so it would be good to have a section wh...

Interesting article, I want to research it more now. So far I've been doing my own meditation kind of thing, I sit in the shower with the lights off so it's pitch black, I even put a towel along the bottom crack of the door so no light can get in. Then I just sit and try to focus on the sound of the...

Clonazepam? It's a benzodiazepine which decreases abnormal electrical activity in the brain ,I'm on it for RLS, it's an anti-seizure medication but considering your wife was already on anti-seizure medications and she is still having spasms it might not do anything, but I'm no doctor, maybe bring it...

Re: How to deal with the heat

The problem with my bedroom is that it faces south, from sun up till sundown the sun radiates against my window. Have you thought about getting an outdoor shade for the window? We have some west facing windows in our home and we just pull down the shades during the hot summer days. It really makes ...

Glad you got in with the University, they seem to always be on top of things, I'm in the process of going to Loma Linda to see a specialist, I can't wait! I hope you get a better answer there... I am assuming they ruled out the obvious possibility of stroke and lime disease? I always look at the obv...
