I hope the course of the treatment gets better for you... BTW I have been taking advil before and after the shot and you are right. Its amazing! I get arthritic like symptoms for a day or 2, but once I take the advils it gets a whole lot better.

I actually take the needle that comes with the pre-filled syringe and put that directly into the autoinjector. Mine come with the 1 and 1/4 inch needle.
